From what I've seen in Vorgardia, I've been noticing that level scaling on mobs seems to be weird. Mobs gain absurd amounts of magic defense to where a high level wizard with a very high Air 2 prof does less damage to a Sandman than a medium-level master's melee.
This seems quite unfair to the mage classes since they have to feel worthless in PvE when the best thing they can do is play melee-support instead of blasting for comparable damage. Even if they can have 'range', so can melees for similar damage via bows. There's little reason that a mage should do such piddly damage to monsters, even when striking their weakness.
Could it perhaps be changed so that monsters gain less magic defense when scaled upwards, so that black mages can have a chance to be useful in Vorgardia?
On a related note, can monsters' Agility scale more slowly as well? God help you if you're a WW; You don't even get Saber to help with that.
also vorgardia is pretty rough on mages in general but that might be intentional
