Hello to all of our wonderful members! Fantasmic has a VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT to make, so PLEASE READ THIS EVEN IF YOU ARE ON A HIATUS!

With the coming of Fall comes a whole set of responsibilities for most of our members, as this is when school kicks back into high-gear.  A lot of our members are dealing with school workloads, and many more members are simply trying to organize their lives and balance out their muses--the Staff included!  You all may have noticed that we have been somewhat absent as of late, and we dearly apologize for it!  We, like you, have been trying to balance RL responsibilities. 

But more than this, we have noticed that over the past few months, many members have been struggling a little more than usual, and with active characters (and muses) coming and going, it's been a little difficult for all of us to maintain our motivation and our wonderful community feel that we strive for here at Fantasmic. 

Therefore, the Fant!Staff have made a huge decision to pursue a fresh start! FANTASMIC WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSING FOR RENOVATIONS, AND WILL HOST A GRAND RE-OPENING IN THE NEW YEAR.  In January 2012, we will be introducing FANTASMIC V.5. 

Fantasmic V.5 will be BRAND-NEW.  We plan on completely revamping the rules, the joining application, closely examining and reinstating Fantasmic protocol, and creating a brand new layout.  Fantasmic will be moving to a completely new address (which we will of course provide for you here at Fant V.4).  With Fantasmic V.5, we hope to smooth out all of the issues that the Fant!Staff have encountered in the past two years, as well as clearly defining and addressing all concerns posed by our members.  There have been some questions that fall into grey areas--such as what sort of characters are allowed on Fantasmic, what is considered AU to us, etc.  Fantasmic V.5 will address all of these concerns, and all information will hopefully be made crystal clear and it will be easy-to-find. 

Current members will absolutely be allowed to bring their characters over to the new site right away.  We hope all members (including the Staff themselves) will use this opportunity to both refresh their muses and to really consider which characters they REALLY wish to keep and develop.  If any members are unsure about some of their characters--or even of whether they can continue to RP at Fantasmic at all--there will be a two-week grace period where all currently-claimed characters will be on reserve for their players to pick them back up at any time. 

While Fantasmic is undergoing renovations, WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING NEW APPLICATIONS and there will be NO ACTIVITY CHECKS. You will still have access to all information/posts here on the Fantasmic V.4 boards. 

Fantasmic V.5 will give ALL OF US a completely fresh start.  We will all start from scratch--new character lineups, new plots, no strings attached.  That being said, you won't lose threads you really want to continue! You will have access to Fant V.4 to copy over threads you wish to maintain.

FANTASMIC WILL BE CLOSING ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12th, AND WILL RE-OPEN IN JANUARY.  We will send out another newsletter to inform all current members when Fantasmic V.5 is ready to go! [b]In the meantime, we hope that all of the friendships on Fantasmic will not go astray--please hop on over to Potpourr{RP} to continue playing with your favorite characters! Many Fantasmic members are already active there, so check it out!

We hope you all will bear with us during the revamp, and we sincerely hope to see you all on Potpourr and at FANTASMIC V.5!! We will still be in touch during this process, and we will keep you updated!
