Blue birds chirped a sweet melodious tune; the wind rustled the leaves of the trees, and the sun shone right on Merlin’s sleeping form. His eyes slowly fluttered open. He saw no rush in waking up. Merlin often enjoyed sleeping in, but he did have his duties to attend to. The faster he finished them, the faster he could collapse on his fluffy bed. Although…right now his back was not feeling the fluff and comfy ness, which left him wondering where in the world he was? Merlin lifted himself up quickly, his eyes taking in his new and mysterious surroundings. Strange, this place looked no where near his England. Where in the right mind did he send himself off to?! He had no particular place to be in. This didn’t make the slightest bit of sense. Merlin’s eyes wondered to a little pond by a lonesome willow tree. Merlin’s throat was urging him to take a big gulp of that fresh, clear, ice cold water.
He licked his chappy lips in thirst and strode over to the pond. He went on his knees and cupped his hands. He slurped the water, savoring the liquid rushing down his parched throat. He bent down once more to splash some water on his face, yet when he saw his reflection, it was a younger version of himself gawking back at him!
"AH!" Merlin yelped in surprise. He scooted back from the pond, afraid to even go near it again. He looked down at his youthful hands and noticed that her still had the same cloths on. Was all of this real, or was he still in dreamland? Merlin gulped, knowing that he would have to see if his old eyes were playing games with him, or even if it was his old eyes.
Merlin peered down at his reflection. The image was just the same as it was when he first looked in. He touched his soft face that was clear of all of his used to be wrinkles and tired eyes.
"Oh confound it all!" Merlin yelled in a young and high pitched voice. He rose from the dirt and started kicking the dust every which way.
He was perplexed and angry at this situation. He has never had any of these types of problems, therefore he never bothered memorizing the spell to reverse him back to his old boney self!
Not watching his balance, Merlin tumbled into the pond. Great. Not only was he young, now he was soaked to the bone.
"Perfect. Just perfecct." Melrin was about to lift himself up and figure a solutioin for this problem, until his ears heard a soft spoken female voice calling to him.
