He Kiss A Maid And Start To Blush And We've All Been Blushin' Since
____High School wasn't so bad.
Well, it wasn't so bad when you were one of the most popular kids in school.
Tiger Lily was one of those kids. Despite her strange name, people saw her as one of the top 'dogs' in the school. The full blooded Indian girl was the princess in her tribe, which was one of the few standing strong in this modern age. She used it to her advantage here. She was royalty and teenagers seemed to either be jealous or admiring of such a fact. Either way, it made her one of the 'queen bees', you could say.
The mocha skinned beauty wasn't the typical popular kid. She was labeled as a hipster, and she was proud of that. She didn't care for the most mainstream things and styles. Her style of dress stayed true to her culture instead of wearing the latest fashion trends. You would never even see her in a pair of jeans. She didn't form herself into anyone's mold but her own, and that was because she thought she was great the way she was.
She was a very proud girl. She thought she was the greatest thing out there, because that was how her whole family had treated her her entire life, especially her father. She expected the same amount of respect and admiration from all of the students. Of course, the only boy worthy of her affections was the one who was just as proud as her and as nearly as great as her, and that happened to be one ginger boy named Peter Pan.
It was nearly a month into their Senior year, making it October. The air was cool and breezy, but considering it was California, it wasn't too terribly cold. Tiger Lily's outfit, one of the her favorite ones, was suitable for the weather. A warm beige dress with fringes and purple and red detailing at the collar, with a light brown fringe jacket and turquoise boots. Her onyx hair was in it's signature style of two loose braids, with a headband that had a feather attached to it decorating her head, symbolizing the culture she was so proud of.
It was lunchtime now, the best time usually to socialize without having to worry about rushing to your next class. As the Native American girl made her way into the cafeteria, she knew exactly who she was sitting with. Once she got her tray of food, she made a B line for where her favorite redheaded boy sat, and took a seat right beside him. "Do you mind, Pan?" She always called him by his last name, making it her own special thing for him. Of course he wouldn't mind her sitting there. Why would he? "Didn't get into too much trouble with those Lost Boys, did you?" Sadly, Peter hung out with less than desirable company... A group he deemed as the Lost Boys. They did nearly anything Peter said, which was good, but they also liked to cause their own trouble, and tormenting the Indian princess was part of that trouble. ________ ((OOC: Icon art by vika8D))

While some kids were heading off to the cafeteria, Melody was hiding in a stall in the girls' locker room. She stood on the toilet seat so no one would see her feet, the dark-haired senior wearing a swimsuit and sneakers. She waited anxiously, knees starting to ache a little, for the girls in the locker room to leave.
Great, just great. All Melody was going to do was take her swimming test for P.E., but the minute she put on her swimsuit, the swim team was after her again. Because although Melody was a fish out of water most of the time, when she was actually in the water, she swam like one of those scaly animals she loved. The fact that she could hold her breath for a good amount of time didn't hurt either. But Melody didn't want to be on the swim team. She didn't really like swimming in pools...there was no adventure or excitement, like the way there was when she swam in the ocean. Swimming in a pool was kind of boring, all concrete and chlorine.
And never mind that Melody didn't think it was very fun...she HATED competitions. She didn't want the pressure of a team relying on her to get that winning point or anything, so Melody steered clear of sports in general. She lost a lot of friends she might have had if she joined a sport, but Melody was all right. She didn't have a gigantic group of friends, but she had two of the best ones in the world, Tip and Dash. The two boys were complete opposites...Tip bragged about everything even when he was inexperienced, and Dash was very, very open about being afraid of things. But she loved them, and they made high school bearable. Some of those popular people liked to make fun of the awkward girl, so it was good to know that at least someone accepted her.
Just then, Melody heard the locker room door close. Finally! She climbed down and went back to her locker, changing into a green tank top and a pair of cuffed denim capris. Melody slung her messenger bag with seashell pins on it over her shoulder and headed off to the cafeteria, dreading making up the swimming test later but glad she had escaped confrontation by the swim team girls for now. She got in line and grabbed some vegetarian pasta and a power drink before taking a seat at the usual table near the vending machine...but where was Tip and Dash? Melody glanced around the room, but she didn't see her friends ANYWHERE! Where could they be? She nervously pushed the pasta around on her plate.
Since Melody had been UNCHARACTERISTICALLY late for lunch, Tip and Dash figured that she might be in some trouble again with those kids, so the duo were out looking for their friend, Tip a lot more outwardly confident than Dash.

Susan Pevensie was not one of the popular kids. She wasn't one of the hipsters, and she wasn't a science geek... but definition, she was a brain. A brain and a bit of an outcast.
She sat alone at a table in the cafeteria, munching on a homemade bran muffin and a green apple for desert, a water bottle at her side. She could have been using this lunch break to go to the library and read one of the books on her book list, or go out to the archery field for some target practice... but no, she just sat there, people-watching and munching slowly on her barely-there lunch, wondering where her sister and brothers were. They usually had lunch together after all.
Wearing a long flowing blue skirt and a nice flowered top, the top half of her hair caught up in a ribbon and her feet encased in sensible brown boots, Susan looked like she'd just walked out of a family film of some description.
Looking around, she noticed Tiger Lily over with her usual crowd, and Melody, hanging by the vending machine... Sue didn't know whether to go and say hi to Mel or not, seeing as the other girl's two friends weren't there... perhaps she would just wait and see. She chewed her lip and sighed, wondering once again where Lucy, Peter and Edmund were...

Sometimes it felt strange to be the youngest senior at the school. But that was what Lucy got for skipping a year of school. That and being in the same grade as the rest of her family... It made for interesting times, that was for sure. The brunette really liked her classmates though. They were certainly more mature and interesting than her previous classmates had been. But then again, they had an extra year of maturity going for them. Thank goodness for that.
The sixteen-year-old wasn't one of the super popular kids, nor a hipster, nor a brain, nor anything else really. She just was. Lucy had never really been one for labels. As a young child, Lucy had believed in other worlds but she had grown up and had found her place in life since then. She managed to have friends and all without being the center of attention at all. It was nice, being surrounded by people who really cared and not having to worry about appearances.
But now was not the time for being thankful for her social status. It was, rather, lunchtime and thus family time. Every day at lunch the four Pevensie children sat together. It was some sort of effort to actually be more involved in each others' lives. Lucy had nothing against it, though. She really did love her brothers and sister. Eating lunch with them made up for the times when she was out with friends and was too busy for her family.
As she walked into the lunchroom, a paper bag clutched in her hand, Lucy smiled at the friends who waved at her from their usual tables. Good thing they understood. Her blue eyes swept the room, looking for a certain older sister. As her eyes alighted on Susan, a little wave of jealousy swept through Lucy. Her older sister had always been the pretty one, the one who got guys' attention even if she didn't especially want it. Lucy couldn't help but envy Susan that.
Nonetheless, she walked confidently over and sat down lightly, a grin on her face. "Hey Suse. I'm guessing Peter and Ed decided to skip out on lunch today?" she said wryly. Usually Lucy was the last of the four to appear. But then, they were rarely completely alone at the table anyway, with others joining them at some point or another.

High School bored the redhead. Immensely.
His days were mostly spent sitting in classrooms, learning about things that he was sure that he would definitely never use again in his life. On top of learning this useless information, the teachers who were responsible for educating him about said subjects were equally as boring. The teen found himself falling asleep or daydreaming in nearly every class, unable to keep his eyes open or stay remotely focused due to the combined forces of less-than-riveting classwork and monotone instructors... which normally caused him to be called out due to his behavior, which would only provoke a smart response from him back at the faculty member. This routine behavior ultimately resulted in being given a demerit, detention, or some other form of punishment for his actions.
Today was no different; just before the bell had rung to dismiss him from his last class before lunch, the boy and his Algebra teacher had engaged in a snide banter with one another, and Peter Pan earned himself a detention for being disrespectful. For once, he didn’t argue it, gathered his belongings, muttered an insult under his breath, and headed off to the cafeteria irritably.
When he arrived downstairs to the bustling lunch room, he scanned the various faces of his schoolmates who moved about the area as he moved toward the lunch line. Once he finally reached it, he picked up a tray and headed down the line in a bored fashion, scooping up whatever looked somewhat appetizing: chicken noodle soup which contained no chicken, egg salad, yogurt, and a soda. None of the food served in the cafeteria was ever exactly pleasant... but it would have to do.
Upon reaching the end, he exited the lunch line and immediately headed toward the empty table that he and his crew normally sat at. When he reached the standard, brown fixture, he set his tray down, then pulled out his chair and collapsed into it lazily. He was the first to arrive, so it seemed, but he didn’t fret over his temporary loneliness. While he was disliked by most of the staff, and although his grades were hardly admirable, one thing that Peter did not lack in was friends. In fact, he was on good terms with most of his peers (assuming that they weren’t losers or just total nerds). Though, the circle of classmates that he kept the closest were the well-known and unruly Lost Boys. Peter could normally be found wreaking havoc and playing practical jokes on others, and otherwise getting into trouble with the aid of his ornery pals.
Another one of his very close friends was Tiger Lily, a Native American girl with a bold style and proud attitude. Although she wasn’t fond of his best friends’ antics and humor, she and Peter were similar when it came to their attitudes and confidence levels. Therefore, they found friends in one another. Unbeknownst to Pan, however, the cocky
hipster sought to be something more than friends.
Peter was stirring his chickenless chicken noodle soup when the aforementioned headstrong female was seen heading towards his table. His gaze followed her colorful feather which stuck upright from behind her head as she wove through the crowd of adolescents. It didn’t take long until she was standing beside him and asked if he minded her taking the seat next to him. “Nope, go ahead,” He replied simply, and turned back to his food. He let go of the spoon that he was stirring his soup with and picked up his egg salad sandwich, and took a large bite of it just as his friend began to speak to him once again.
“Didn't get into too much trouble with those Lost Boys, did you?”
The ginger shook his head in reply followed by a slight laugh. “We TPed the Vice Principal’s house over the weekend,” He said casually between chews, examining the inside of the egg salad as he spoke. “—nothin’ big, we didn’t get caught. Next time I think we’re gonna’ do the ‘dog-poop-in-a-flaming-bag-on-the-porch’ thing to Mr. Bradley since he gave me a detention today over something dumb.” Peter shrugged his shoulders after his words, and glanced back to Tiger Lily.
“What've you been doing lately? Family stuff?” One thing that Peter and Tiger Lily did not have in common had to do with family matters. Peter came from a small family, he lived with his grandmother who was extremely old and not very involved in his life outside of being his guardian and attending parent-teacher conferences, while the girl beside him came from a proud family who were close to her and treated her like royalty. While Pan wasn’t jealous of her situation, it still intrigued him that one could be so close to and pampered by their parents. He took another bite of his sandwich and waited attentively for her response; he was in the mood for some kind of a story.

A slender, dark-skinned girl sauntered into the cafeteria, toting an insulated lunch bag in one hand and a rolled up poster in the other. She wore a dreamy expression, as though she had stumbled into the dining hall by accident. She had a bizarre sort of gait. It seemed like no matter how fast or slow the Indian moved, her curvy hips would always sway along with her. Sometimes it seemed as though they had a mind of their own, though they never caused too many accidents. The only thing they hindered was her reputation.
Shanti Haldar was, inexplicably, a loner. While a bit of a fashionista, she didn't hang out with any of the popular or wealthy students. She had transferred to this school last semester which led to a lot of speculation on why she was here. She was quite beautiful for somebody so quiet and it gave her a mysterious air. The other students, mostly the boys, had always kept a curious eye on her. The majority of the girls didn't have as nearly of a positive reaction to the Indian's arrival but they too had their wonders. Even though her parents had chosen to relocate into a nicer area, many of the students had believed that she had been kicked out from her previous school. This, in turn, led to a lot of rumors--each one more unpleasant than the other.
While she didn't give off the vibe, Shanti was practically the antithesis of a rebel. The worst thing she was ever guilty of was breaking the dress code now and then. She did everything she was told, while she struggled, she attempted to keep her marks decent, and she didn't dare stay out after her curfew. She was not a perfect angel all the time, but she tried her best to conceal that as often as she could. She never had much success at making friends because her sultry brown eyes and her ever-bustling frame spoke a lot more than she did. She was not a snob by any means but she never felt obligated to talk to the other students that much. She was more comfortable observing them from afar, hoping they weren't always exchanging whispers about her.
Lunch had followed History like a ray of sunlight poking out after a thunderstorm. It had been Shanti's turn to present her Industrial Revolution time-line in front of the class and it was (almost) a complete nightmare. She had been stumbling throughout the entire presentation, giving way to several ums and uhs, frequently biting her lower lip as she plumbed through her memory. She only found comfort and confidence by concentrating on a cute, sandy-haired boy that sat in the front row during the last few minutes. There was something about his deep blue eyes and dimples that enabled Shanti to soothe her nerves.
One major factor that led her to be the butt of many jokes and rumors was that Miss Haldar was an extreme flirt. The moment Shanti laid eyes on a boy that bore any sort of handsome features, she would instantly work her charms on him. She didn't even have to speak. All she needed to do was bat her dark eyelashes and wiggle her bunny-like nose and she would usually have the latter student spellbound.
Most of the time, it was all just a game but she meant no harm by it. Shanti was shamelessly boy-crazy but she had control of herself as well. She wasn't out to snag somebody else's boyfriend and tease every guy she met. They had to be a gentleman, respect her, and prove that they were worth her time. She had kissed a young man on the cheek once so far and she planned to remain virtuous until she met somebody she really loved.
Trying to shake off the embarrassment of her last class, Shanti strolled throughout the cafeteria and searched for an empty table she could crash at. She noticed a familiar boy with red hair sitting with another girl a few feet away but she knew better than to intrude. She flashed him a pretty smile as she walked by.

Much like her attendance to some of her classes, Alice was late entering the cafeteria, not that she particularly cared. Instead of seeing school as a place to further her learning, she saw it mostly as something that cut into her own time - a time when she could be doing, well, Alice-related things. The problem the girl had was that, if she wasn't interested in something on first sight, it would be impossible to persuade her to give whatever it was another chance - and, unfortunately, many of the classes she took had that exact effect on her.
When it came down to it, Alice was a bit of a strange one to classify in the many so-called 'cliques' that high school held. Whilst she definitely was for the most part alone a lot of the time, she had the confidence [and, some might say, arrogance] of any of the well-liked kids around the place. She was forever questioning and criticizing the teachers on why they had to make class so dull - and basically their whole 'teaching' style. Though she secretly might've wished for possibly one or two more friends, the young blonde herself brought on a lot of reasons why she was alone. For one, she forever held an air of aloofness around her schoolmates - many could never quite tell what she was thinking of doing next! Another was that she appeared to be easily irritated with those who did not share her way of thinking and ideas - in other words, nearly everyone. Despite a lot flaws in her nature, she was quite pleasant to those who she did not find annoying and could relate to.
Although she did not have lunch with her, the teenager wasn't that hungry today, having just thought of yet another story idea for her writing project. Not a project for school, of course, Alice didn't much care for those - but one of her own. She hadn't thought on a final idea just now, but her writing pad was already full of sketchy notes and various nonsense, all concepts of ideas she'd had over the week. It seemed strange that a girl with such a talent for writing had no desire to be further educated on it, much preferring to stick firmly to her own level without any teacher's input. In her eyes, they would surely find something about her style to mold into their own, change - which Alice dreaded to think about.
Walking up to the vending machine, the blonde still wasn't particularly hungry, but thought it might be wise to eat a little something whilst continuing her work. There was, by now, quite a number of people already at it. Joining the queue, Alice tapped her foot as time ticked on, sighing irritably at the unfortunate wait, knowing that she had ideas to work on before this lunch was over.

Separation. Something that rarely happened to the Caldwell brothers. Sometimes, separation meant despair to the point of near depression and tears, other times; it meant chaos and totally anarchy. Both of these factors usually depended heavily on who was taken away and who was left alone. Today was one of those days.
What had begun as a simple, ‘Let’s break into the Chemistry room during the Chem teacher’s off hour to “borrow” some ethanol for a prank’ turned sour. Apparently, the science club met in the Chemistry room during certain days, and today just happened to be one of those days. Without even thinking, both boys picked the lock with a bobby pin they knicked off the girl they sat in front of during Algebra and made their way in only to be greeted by a balding man and a group of lanky and smart teenagers. On instinct, the Caldwell brothers turned to run, empty handed of the ethanol mind you, only to reach the end of the science hall one less then there were before.
Jeremiah and Simon Caldwell, better known to their close group of friends as Marmaduke and Binky respectively (calling them Jeremiah or Simon usually ended in a cruel joke played on the offender),were never known to be soft. They always held the image as being sarcastic little balls of fury, both being in high school and barely standing five foot one, that lived for practical jokes, however, the two were a complete set. They just couldn’t be without each other. It’s almost as if their brains can’t operate without the other being in a five foot radius. The last time the brothers got separated, Jeremiah had been caught trying to the pick the lock on someone’s locker and had been taken for detention, leaving Simon all alone for thirty minutes. That was the day the school’s trophies case was broken into and completely smashed up by an ‘unknown’ suspect who was later found curled in a fetal position by the gym.
Now standing by himself, Jeremiah, or Marmaduke, had a look of complete shock. ”Binky?” he called out, trying to mask the fear in his voice. ”Binks?!” No answer came. Feeling sweat beginning to roll down his forehead, Marmaduke began to panic. ‘They caught him! THEY CAUGHT HIM!’ he screamed to himself. He was lost. A lone star in the universe. How was he going to make it through the rest of the day?! How was he going to make it through English class without someone to shoot spit balls with? There probably was only one person who could help him. Sure, neither he or his brother had ever shown fear to anyone but a few people, but this was a desperate matter. Panic stricken, Marmaduke ran straight for the cafeteria where he was sure this person was.
Reaching the doors, the boy burst into the cafeteria and right on the spot fell to his knees in a high pitched wail mixed with pure anger, frustration, and fear. He didn't care who heard or what anyone thought of him. This was a serious situation that called for desperate measures.

Susan was about to answer her younger sister when she was cut off by a high-pitched shriek from behind them. Frowning and turning quickly, she laid eyes of the sight before her. Jeremiah Caldwell was on the ground, shrieking and moaning and generally making a loud racket. But there was something different here... it took Sue a moment to realise that the boy's twin brother wasn't with him.
Turning back to Lucy, raising her eyebrows, she sighed. "Marmaduke's gone and lost Binky again..." She shook her head in disbelief. "Honestly, the amount of trouble those two get into, they certainly put our Ed to shame, wouldn't you say?" She clucked softly, wondering if she should tell the wailing teenager to check the detention room.
Picking up her bran muffin again, she picked at it and looked back at Lucy. "Anyway, I suppose our wonderful brothers have decided to skip lunch... Not that I blame Peter all that much..... wasn't he doing some extra-curricular activity during lunch for the next few weeks to get extra credit?" It certainly sounded like something that Susan herself would do, but there wasn't much extra curricular that she could do at school, seeing as she was bright as a new penny anyway... Sighing, she put the muffin down again and picked up her apple instead. Turning again, she looked straight at Marmaduke. "Oh, for Goodness sake, Marmaduke! Stop that wailing, you're scaring the birds!" She seemed to not hear the resounding chuckles and continued. "Binky's probably in the Detention Room... why don't you try and bust him out or something?"
OOC: >.> .... <.< ............ I... don't know where that came from... Susan can be such a cow LOL... sorry if she offended Marmaduke, Nate :)

Wrong in all the Right Ways Dani loved her Mom and Dad like crazy, but sometimes she kind of hated them too. Like when they decided to move from Salem back to California (and not even near LA where they had lived before, But to San Francisco) right before her Senior year. Meaning she was now three thousand miles away from all her friends, her favorite hangouts, basically her entire life. She suddenly had a lot more sympathy for her brother's plight nine years earlier. Max was back on the East Coast doing the grad school thing and sharing an apartment with his girlfriend fiancé in Boston. Lucky. But she wasn't a downer by nature, so she tried to make the best of it. Of course by Senior year everyone pretty much already had a crowd and the Queen Bees tried their best to make sure she knew she was at the bottom of the social ladder. But she shrugged it all off with an eye-roll and a sarcastic comment, though sometimes it was hard to resist the urge to punch them in their cute little paid-for noses. Still, they got that she wasn't about to bow down to them, and had started avoiding her and talking behind her back instead of to her face. She liked the rumor that she was secretly a witch that kept voodoo dolls and cast curses, best. She'd even started playing along, muttering Harry Potter spells under her breath when she saw them coming. But whatever. She'd make at least one friend eventually. She just had to keep trying. And hey, wasn't that the girl she sat in front of in English sitting by herself? Jackpot! Dani walked over and set her tray next to her. "Hey! Melanie, no, Melody right? I'm Dani. Is anybody sitting here? I'm still kind of new so I don't have a regular lunch group yet." She smiled hopefully, praying the girl would say it was cool to sit.

Melody looked up in surprise when someone spoke suddenly and set a tray down on the spot next to her. She recognized her immediately. Unlike some people who goofed around all the time, Melody actually paid attention when the teacher introduced new students to the class [although Melody tended to zone off during lessons, especially if it was during math class]. It was the new girl, Dani Dennison. They had English together...she was the one that people said knew witchcraft or whatever. But she was nice, and not snobbish, at least from what Melody could tell. So she smiled a little at the girl as she spoke, introducing herself.
"Hey! Melanie, no, Melody right? I'm Dani."
"Oh! Um....yeah, we have English together," Melody nodded along, a little nervously but friendly nonetheless. It wasn't hard to recognize Dani since Melody was usually trying to hide behind her when the teacher was trying to choose someone to answer the question. Even when Melody thought she knew it, she didn't want to be picked, just in case she was wrong--people would make fun of her!
"I'm still kind of new so I don't have a regular lunch group yet."
"Yeah--oh, er, I mean, sure! Definitely," Melody exclaimed, initially surprised she would want to sit with her, but she was happy that some people didn't think she was just a swimming, animal-loving, walking disaster. "Go right ahead." She knew that Tip and Dash wouldn't mind if they did end up coming back [were they making up a test or something? Or did Dash get stuck in the biology window again?] When Dani sat down, Melody attempted to make small talk. "So...what do you think of school so far?" Melody asked, taking a bite of her pasta. She definitely knew what SHE thought of this school...

He Kiss A Maid And Start To Blush And We've All Been Blushin' Since
____Tiger Lily slipped gracefully into the seat across from the ginger haired boy as soon as he voiced that he certainly didn't mind her company. She placed her tray down in front of her lightly, her meal consisting of a sad Caesar salad, a peach she managed to find that didn't have a huge bruise on it, a bag of trail mix, and finally a bottle of water to finish it off. She did her best to eat all natural foods, as that was what she had been raised on. Sadly, the school gave her limited choices when it came to non processed foods.
A slight smirk graced her features as he informed her of the silly prank he had committed on their boring vice principal, before saying how he would get back at Mr. Bradley for giving him detention. She wrinkled her nose in distaste at his choice of payback, but she couldn't say the man didn't deserve it. Though he had a voice that was quite pleasant to listen to, the class he taught wasn't particularly interesting. "Good luck with that, Pan. Just try not to get caught. Mr. Bradley isn't stupid." She warned him before she took a dainty sip of her water.
“What've you been doing lately? Family stuff?"
The Native American nodded as she stirred her creamy salad, her chestnut eyes meeting his directly. "As per usual. We've been planning a get together, just for fun. My father said you could come." She stated, sure that Peter wouldn't want to pass up on one of her family's parties. They were some of the best, despite the adult supervision. Luckily, her father seemed to like the boy, which possibly had to be because of how highly she thought of him and spoke of him. "I suppose the Lost Boys could come too." Usually at parties they were too distracted to pull any of their usual behavior.
The girl, with posture as straight and tall as a totem pole, slipped a forkful of salad into her mouth, just as one of those Lost Boys dramatically burst into the lunch room and let out a cry that matched the screeching Banshee that occurred in some stories she had heard. Her eyes widened considerably and she swallowed before she spoke, "Speak of the Devil." She muttered as she tilted her nose up slightly, a huff escaping her throat. She didn't fail to realize that the Lost Boy was one of the twins (Who had grown to be her least favorites of the group, she had to admit) and that he was all alone, without the other in sight. No wonder he was weeping like a willow.
"Pan, would you get him to quiet down?" She asked him as she kept herself quite upright and poised, not about to deal with the manner, not when Pan was there to take care of his brood on his own. She wasn't her nicest when it came to dealing with the Lost Boys anyway, so she knew Peter would probably prefer to do it. "He's going to start making people's ears bleed."

High School. Always fun. Well, for most people. Mary Gibbs was not most people. She was officially a teenager now and the girl was having the time of her life. Sure, the work was hard, and sure she wasn't having the best time with focusing, but otherwise she loved the people! She wasn't THE most popular person, but since she was friendly enough with people she wasn't an outcast or anything. Mary always tried to make friends with everyone, no matter who they were. She loved being around people and making friends was even more fun when you had a great variety of them. Wandering her way along the cafeteria, Mary took a tray and made her way along the line of food nearby. She started piling on all the food she liked and paid for them at the end of the line, soon making her way over to a dark-haired girl and her brown-haired companion beside her, Mary plopping herself down across the table from the girls and grinning at them. "Well hey there Mel! And... The new girl whose name escapes me. So sorry! What's your name again?" Mary chirped, grinning at the girl and extending her hand to her in her usually friendly way. "I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you!"She felt bad about not knowing the other girl's name, but unlike Melody who had been beside her in English, Mary was one of the kids who would look off into the distance and zone out. Thankfully, she knew enough of the subject that when someone asks her a question about it she'd know what they're talking about. The girl took a sip of her water, smiling at the two girls before her and putting the bottle back down on the table. "So, how's the rest of the day looking for everyone?"OOC: *shifty eyes* Sorry I've been MIA, I needed to find a face for Older!Boo and school decided to bury me. >< Not fun. Anyway, hope it's okay that Mary popped in on Melody and Dani!

Wrong in all the Right Ways "Yep! Mr. Webster can sure lecture for a long time. Last class I don't think he even stopped to take a breath." Dani smiled, but inside she couldn't believe how lame she was being. Sheesh, making comments about the teacher was TeenSpeak 101, and they hadn't even that funny. She wouldn't be surprised if Melody told her to get lost. "Go right ahead.""Seriously? Thanks! You're totally my hero right now." She had someone to sit with! Maybe this year wouldn't completely suck. "So...what do you think of school so far?"Annnnd Loaded Questions for 100, Alex. But Dani was a straight-shooter by nature. "Well, honestly it's a little, um, intense. Like cliquey? I guess every school is, but back in Salem I'd had my main group of friends since I was eight, so I guess I didn't feel it so much." But she shrugged it off and took a bite of her burger. "But whadda ya gonna do. Haters gotta hate." She laughed and winked at Melody. A second later another girl came over to their table and sat down. "Well hey there Mel! And... The new girl whose name escapes me.""Dani. It's cool. I'm still the newbie. I don't expect everybody to know my name. So what's up?" She assumed Mary was tight with Melody, and didn't see anything weird with her joining them. "So, how's the rest of the day looking for everyone?""Let's see, it's sixth period now, right? So after this I have AP Bio, French, then sweet sweet freedom. I forget, are you guys in either of those with me?" She ticked off the classes on her fingers. Bio was crazy hard but French was okay. Even if the teacher gave her the heebie jeebies. (OOC: I made the English teacher the talking dixtionary from Belle's Magical World, since it's not too likely someone will pick him up, so we can just NPC him when we need him. )

"Yep! Mr. Webster can sure lecture for a long time. Last class I don't think he even stopped to take a breath."
Melody laughed. "He has that in common with my friend Tip," she grinned, kinda used to fast talkers. Tip liked to talk about all sorts of stuff...mostly bragging about himself...incorrectly, but still, he was sweet. "Dash too! But Dash usually doesn't stop to breathe because he's too busy eating." She giggled...or if he was talking, he would be anxious about the next test or something. For such a big guy, he was worried a lot, kind of like a gentle elephant.
"Seriously? Thanks! You're totally my hero right now."
"Don't worry about it!" Melody chuckled, but she couldn't help but smile. Usually she was nervous around people, especially those who she didn't really talk to, but Dani seemed to just radiate her outgoing personality, making Melody feel a lot more comfortable that she usually did. She knew what it was like to sit alone too, and she would never wish that on another person. Melody listened as Dani talked about the school, and she pretty much nailed it right on the head. It seemed like everybody was classified into something in this school, but Melody wasn't too sure what people labeled her as. She felt like she had a clue, though, and if she was on the right track, she was probably better off not knowing.
"But whadda ya gonna do. Haters gotta hate."
"Yeah..." Melody said, her thoughts shifting over to the teasing she had to deal with, but she didn't want to get into all of that, especially not now, when she could be making a new friend. She brushed away her feelings and put on a smile, and another girl joined them, Mary Gibbs. Melody didn't know her too well either, but she had been around longer than Dani, and she was nice, friendly, kind of an extrovert [the exact opposite of Melody], and Melody definitely didn't mind her joining them. "Hey Mary, what's up?" Melody greeted her in a pleasant manner. Mary asked how the day was going for them, and Dani began to list her classes.
"I forget, are you guys in either of those with me?"
"Umm...well, I'm taking AP Bio too, but in another period," Melody said, taking another bite of her pasta. "Algebra's next for me, and then Marine Biology." Melody was definitely interested in science fields, although animal [especially sea animal] biology more than human. Algebra, however, was a whole different thing. She had never been too good in math. Her mind just didn't work that way. "What about you, Mary?"
