General Information
Name: Reginald Leopold Theophilus III, "Reg" or "Reggie" for short [as suggested by the famous WCMI comic]
    Title: (If Available) Mad Hatter
    Gender: Male
    Species: Human
    Homeworld: Wonderland
    Film: Alice in Wonderland [1953]
Physical Characteristics
Height: 5'6 or 5'7 or so, but his hat makes him seem quite taller [Disneyland standards]
    Eyes: Green
Hair/Fur: White and curly due to the mercury from his hat, shoulder-length
Age: He doesn't know - he hasn't celebrated birthdays for the previous 55 years
    Build: Graceful, somewhat thin
Unique Physical Traits: Freckles are dotted all across his face, especially against his unusually large nose. He also had thick, dark eyebrows contrasting his hair
Other: The Mad Hatter is never seen without his large, green hat sitting proudly atop his head. Beneath his long, orange jacket, he dons a white dress shirt covered by a light blue vest with a fancy decor. A blue bow tie completes the outfit. His long legs are covered by dark green trousers, and his big feet are fitted into large shoes of a similar color. Sometimes, when the weather is chilly, he'll slip into two casual white gloves. But most of all, he never dares to leave his house or tea party without a spare teapot!
Fighting Characteristics
Weapon: If anything, his tendency to annoy most of those he meets to a state of flustered-ness. Otherwise, the most harmful object he carries in his hat [he carries EVERYTHING in his hat, except when the hat is full, and then he carries any other items in his big pockets or by hand] is a boiling hot teapot. wink.gif
Magic: Nope [although many wonder where, in fact, do the such random objects in his hat come from when they seemed to never be there in the first place!]
Other: The Mad Hatter never fights physically. He will, however, retort childishly with his sharp words, them sometimes being nonsensical. He frequently makes large gestures with his arms and other body parts, but never in an act to harm anyone.

    Future Goals:
To spend the rest of his life [or as long as he can] in a un-birthday party drinking tea with his friends
Have as many clean cups as he can

    Personality:
The Mad Hatter is a loud, nonsensical, annoyingly hyper young man. Or, at least he thinks he's young - he doesn't know anymore and is seemingly ageless. Although his first impression is that he's an insensitive know-it-all, he is very loyal and protective of his friends, as shown by his concern for the Dormouse's great fear of "c-a-t"'s. Loving to dance and sing at spontaneous times, he is quite the party lover, and that's all he ever does - celebrate un-birthdays through tea parties!

    History:
If you asked the Mad Hatter about his history, he wouldn't be able to tell you much. It comes with him losing track of Time, you see, and his forgetful and distracted mind. All he knows [or cares to remember] is that he has been in Wonderland for at least most of his life, and loves his life in Wonderland too much to ever be somewhere else. His only response to the question of how he became mad is always, "Mad, me?! Never! How sthilly!" And then usually gets distracted by his half-empty cup of tea he momentarily had forgotten was ever there in the first place.

The one thing he shall never forget, however, is the day of the Queen of Hearts un-birthday ceremony. He was to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat" sometime during the ceremony, but he had barely gotten into the second verse when suddenly Her Impatient Majesty screamed out, "He's murdering the Time! Off with his head!" Thanks to the kindness and forgiveness of the King, the Mad Hatter escaped unscathed, but Time had apparently been very offended by the comment, so ever since it has always been six o'clock for him and his friends! [what he doesn't know, however, is that it's just his clock making the mistake from being so old and broken, and not Time] Thus, the inseparable trio - him and his lifelong companions, the March Hare and "Dormy" the Dormouse - continues a never-ending tea party, moving down a few seats for a clean cup whenever one of them needs a refill.

On Reginald's next birthday, they had such a great time [despite their unfortunate circumstances] that when they thought it was over [they couldn't tell, because it was rare that someone in the correct time came to visit], they were very disappointed. That was, until the Mad Hatter suggested that instead of only celebrating one day of the year, they celebrated each of the 364 other days! That's how un-birthdays came to be celebrated, and since then they've never been happier, celebrating different people's un-birthdays even when theirs wasn't on that day.

Except for that strange girl Alice's interruption with their un-birthday party with her uncalled-for madness ["Why is a raven like a writing desk?" Who ever thought up THAT riddle, anyhow?!], their ongoing tea party has been running smoothly for all eternity in Wonderland, giving the dreamworld a reason to celebrate even when it's not a holiday.

QUOTE
How very strange! At one moment, he was circling the long, teacup-covered table for an empty cup, and the next he was out like a light, even though the Mad Hatter is never in the very least tired! Perhaps that strange little girl who had left recently had dropped some sort of foreign substance in his tea that made him fall asleep?

'Or, at least I think I'm asleep,' Reginald pondered, 'It's awfully dark in here... wait a moment! What's THAT?' A brilliant speckle of light pierced through the darkness - the shiniest Reg had ever seen! He ogled at it's beauty, "It's... i-it... SHINES!!!"

Without any mere millisecond of hesitation, the Hatter sprung triumphantly towards the mysterious source of light...

... only to seem to have stumbled over some unseen object and fall to his doom.

Being an inhabitant of Wonderland and having seen many strange things, he thought nothing of the sudden fall but only mourned over the quickly disappearing light.

"NOOOO!!! The shine! D-Don't go...!"

But it was too late - the light had completely disappeared as Reggie proceeded to plunge into the bitter, dark abyss of nothingness.

'How tedious! First missing out on my un-birthday party, and now being torn away from such shininess! Oh, poor little me...!'

He was cut off from any further grievance by hitting what felt like a soft bed of... something.

'Oh... leaves...  how curious! I didn't even notice the forest I was falling into!' Mainly because he was too busy mourning to notice anything other than the loss of the shiny light, but he of course had already forgotten about it immediately after landing. 'Hmm... this doesn't look like Tulgey Wood... well, in any case, I hope they have tea here!'
