I was only 8 when the movie first came out in Australia... I wanted so much to see it at the cinema, but never did... Mainly because at 8 years old I lived in a town that didn't have a cinema(!!!)

So for my 9th birthday, my nana bought me the video, two posters and an adult Simba figurine, bless her :)

Over the years, I have also aquired a Scar figurine and a young Simba figurine... Need to find others hee hee...

So how happy was I when the movie was coming back to theaters, I was so very happy... Even happier when I found that the "morning report" was not in the viewing... I never cared for the movie version xD

I annoyed people behind me by saying the entire movie as it ran through xD good times, good times.

Anyway... 10 out of 10 potatoes!! ^^

I saw it this past Sunday and I absolutely loved it, getting there was my first time taking a cab.

I was honestly surprised at the little number of people there, even on a Sunday night. I was the only one there, which completely surprised me.

Okay, so that was a good thing, because I sang along to every single song and cried when Mufasa died. I thought I would, so I was prepared for it. Kept the ticket stub and my 3D glasses - extra souvenirs, if you will.

I felt so much like a kid, and my inner child absolutely loved it.

Yaaay so awesome that you got to see it! I decided to see it in regular projection minus the 3D, as I wanted to focus on the brilliance of the animation. SO PRETTYYYYYYY. If one was really looking, you could sort of tell the things they had fixed up for the 3D effect and such... but otherwise, BRILLIANCE. So many details that you can't normally see on your own copies on a smaller screen, I was like "...HEY LOOK AT THAT"

And the sound...gah. It was worth the money alone. I swear, I heard things I never had before. It was just lovely. What really got me though, was that this movie is being introduced to an all new generation. There were so many parents there with their young children, surely seeing the film for the first time. The little girl next to me was asking her mother all sorts of questions, and it just warmed my heart to know that now all these kids can grow up with THE classic too.

I totally want to see it in 3D now of course, but I dunno if I'll be able to. @_@

I saw it last weekend in 3D (mostly because there were only a couple 2D showings) and it was gorgeous. The 3D wasn't overdone or too intrusive and added a real sense of depth. I saw it at least twice during the original theatrical run way back in the day so it was a treat to experiance it on the big screen again. I had fun pointing out to my friend the point in Be Prepared where Jim Cummings takes over.

Lol I saw it a few weeks ago. I wanted to go see it in 3d... but I mixed up the showtimes and 3d and 2d shows. :3 oops. But it was still uber good. The theater was pretty crowded, but ...I still sang along and cried when Mufasa died. And I think a few times after that... like when Mufasa was all "you have forgotten me!" )': yeah. IT WAS AMAZING, EVEN IF IT WAS JUST IN 2D. n_n win!

I need to see it again. In 2D...

I hate 3D... it ruins it for me.... I grew up with 2D, so that's what I wanna see...

Might go and see it tomorrow. Again.

*nods* Yes.

And I have NO QUALMS about singing/repeating every line out loud <3

---

Only...

Do I wanna see TLK or Abduction tomorrow? I saw TLK earlier in the week... should I go see Absuction (mmm Taylor Lautner...)

And I wanna go see Breaking Dawn at the cinema (since I never got to see any of the other three Twilight movies >mainly cause I wasn't a Twilight fan back then...<)

Yay for other people seeing it in 2D. I'm really glad they even released it in 2D because I know it's making 40% of it's profits from those screenings. At the AMC Downtown Disney the times were really weird and the one day I had time I could only catch it in 2D and I'd rather see digitally remastered 3D film in 2D than spend my money on something else I'd already seen. I haven't seen it in 3D yet but I WILL.

Here's a recap of all my emotional moments watching the film again. I purposefully didn't watch it for a good year and a half since the announcement of the 3D release, to get the full emotional experience. It worked.

Most of the Scar moments are because I'm very passionate in my feelings toward his and Simba's relationship: IE that bastard was his only other family and he loved him and Scar made him think he loved him too and then killed his father and klewghewhashmgwe09 gdkghewisdls
