The wind was cool as it blew through the Crusade. It was a nice spring day, one that was perfect for flying. Allen leaned against the rails as he pulled the strands of blonde hair out of his face. A fresh sea breeze it was. The salt in the air added a pleasant tartness. Allen let out a content sigh. Some men laughed behind him. He turned around to see Gaddess smiling broadly. Allen smiled as well. He'd come to appreciate his crew so much more now that the war was over. He had also come to be a bit more aware of their hormones now that his sister was staying with him. She still was a bit confused and had nightmares sometimes, but was getting better. He looked out over the trees and imagined riding his horse through them. "Land the ship, I need a trot," he yelled over his shoulder. Echoes of 'land the ship' sounded through the hull. Allen briskly walked inside. He walked straight to the stairwell and headed down to one of the lower-deck rooms to fetch his riding clothes and a horse. When he got to his room, he removed his new uniform and boots. He went to his closet and pulled out his old white shirt, black pants, purple sash, and brown boots. He looked nostalgic for a moment, then swiftly put them on. He left the room and headed down to the onboard stable to take his favorite steed and Natal out. He found the room full of commotion for the preparations. Horses whinnied and neighed nervously. He walked briskly to a pitch black horse with a pale mane and tail. It's eyes were green, unusual for a horse of it's native land. "Hey there, Kuro," he placed his gloved hand on the beast's nose, "Ready for and adventure?" The horse nickered. Suddenly, there were three talons on his right shoulder. A soft hoot met his ears, "Hey Natal. I guess you're ready."
The crew headed out with Allen in the lead. They rode for a couple minutes before scattering to scan the surroundings for evidence of runaway criminals. They spent an hour and a half and found the lost tracks of the VERY old moleman. But he was no where to be found. Probably hiding, but Allen wasn't much in the mood for hunt. He was more interested in the beauty of the forest. He thought he'd bring his sister out here sometime soon. Just at that moment he heard a scream...
