history; I've always wanted to use pokemon like shuckle and quagsire, but they weren't the best pokemon to sweep. as torkoal and octillery came, I was getting annoyed with with my pokemon being so slow, and wished I could have something to aid them. when gen 4 came, I was happy to hear that trick room was an option; I quickly thought up a quick idea with it. after finding out about shuckle's new move power trick, I decided to test it and it worked very well. theteam grew as I added new ideas to the team, and it'sonly gotten stronger each day.

uses; (very) slow pokemon and trick room are combo-ed to strike first; easily competes with OU and even UbER due to a good amount of fast pokemon (despite a good half of mine being UU)

weaknesses; type wise, not much, for I have back ups for a lot them. move wise, taunt is a move that cripples my team badly.

* this pokemon could not have nickname becasue it's not orginally mine D:

dusknoir(darkstripe) - lum berry
ab-pressure
-gravity
-trick room
-protect
-shadow punch

use- to support the team by using trick room and gravity; protect is for shuckle's earthquaking power (which is very strong sometimes;;) also, pressure is always fun to use when I'm in a stalling mood.

weakness- normal pokemon. if dusknoir is the only one left, that is. dark pokemon are also a major threat, along with some ghost pokemon.

shuckle*-focus sash
ab-sturdy
-protect
-power trick
-earthquake
-rock slide

use- shuckle is a powerhouse once power trick is put into play. if dusknoir fails to use trick room, shuckle can protect while porygon Z does the job. earthquake is good on rock and steel, two of shuckle's weaknesses and love to aim physical move on it, while rock slide hits flying.

weakness- one power trick is used, shuckle can fall quickly. focus sash helps it have a fighting chance, but without full hp shuckle is doomed. it still has the uber sp. def though, blocking against water moves well.

torkoal(brisingr)-passho berry
ab-white smoke
-protect
-curse
-gyro ball
-heat wave

use: torkoal is slow, and when using a curse, which sometmes is looked down upon due to the loss in speed, actually gets faster thanks to the trick room support. combined with a insanely boosted gyro ball, torkoal is a mayor threat, especaily since white smoke prevents the foe from lowering it's stats (but torkoal itself can, luckily) heat wave is there to sweep steels (one of shuckle's prime weaknesses) and gains a boost because its a fire type~

weaknesses- rock and ground don't do much thanks to gyro ball and curse's increase in defence, but sp. atk moves like earth power is something to worry about. water moves is backed up with a passho berry and torkoal's okay sp. def, but it still does a heap of damage.

quagsire(aquaboy)-rindo berry
-earthquake
-brick break
-waterfall
-ice beam

use: due to the fact that I use a lot of pokemon weak to water, quagsire is great to switch in, turning that water move aimed for them into HP and rendering them useless. also, when octillery's there, quagsire can come comfortly in on a thunderbolt thanks to the ground typing it has. Brick break is for wall-ers, weakening the foe's defences while lowering their HP, waterfall is for fire and ground while earthquake is great for attacking both foes at the same time. finally, ice beam is to cover flying and dragon.

weaknesses- quagsire's sp. def isn't very keen, so it's luckly to have one weakness. sadily enough though, that weakness scores 4x damage to quagsire, so rindo berry is there to help him a little.

porygon Z* -iron ball
ab-download
-thunderbolt
-tri attack
-protect
-trick room

use; porygon Z is the second trick roomer, and also another protector to stall with. tri attack covers a lot of pokemon, while thunderbolt is just there. I need to replace it with something better;; iron ball slows it dow, allowing it to attack first

weaknesses; fighting moves seem to pop outta nowhere and get it, and is useless against ground/rock combos, like rhydon. downlod isn't useful if it up's attack.

the the last memeber is either octillery or trapinch, depending on the rules;

octillery* - metronome
ab- suction cups
-charge beam
-flamethower
-energy ball
-psychic

uses: octillery is a slow pokemon with surprizely good atk; prefect for this team. charge beam combined with metronome adds some power to it as octillery gains it's sp. atk boost fromusing it. flamthower gets at grass types, and psychic hits fighting and posion. energy ball is a filler;;

weaknesses; firstly, the ability is not the best, but sniper isn't too helpful here either. also; I'm planning to replace energy ball with a water move. another thing is it's waek defences, allowing grass pokemon to strike hard. (unless I flamethower themmmm!))

trapinch* -wide lens
ab- hyper cutter
-protect
-rock slide
-crunch
- fissure

uses; can someone say "cheap?" trapinch, being one of the slowest pokemon and the ability to learn fissure at 89, this little guy is another addition to the team. surprizely having an attack of 231, tranpinch should be feared by pokemon like gengar and alakazam, both pokemon that are fast and weak defense. if it's not attacking with rock slide or crunch, fissure should be cuationed; despite it's low accuracy, wide lens increases it dramaticly, hiting foes quicker. protect is to help this guy survive and annoys people trying to get rid of the pokemon.

weaknesses; with all first form pokemon, the stats cannot compare to the evolved ones, making trapinch a piece of cake. if dusknoir's gravity isn't in play, levatators and flying pokemon aren't affected by fissure, but flyiing pokemon might want to watch out for rock slide (besides skarmory~) strudy pokemon, who are mostly either rock or steel, can ruin trapinch's day, although the other member's of the teams can easily come back with a super effective water of fire move.

Shuckle are a huge pain to knock out to me. I remember some trainer battling with it in Emerald in the Battle Frontier. Your team looks really good!
