    GENERAL RULES

    1. Here's a simple guide line to remember even with the word 'elite' in the name. Please don't brag! We don't like it as much as the next person and it's just plain rude. We're a group as a whole. It's one thing to earn credit, but it's another to be obnoxious.

    2. We ask that you refrain from using 'chat speak' and keep in the English language so everyone can understand everyone.

    3. You must be thirteen 13 or older to register on the main forum 'Elites Court' by InvisionFree's rules and terms of service.

    4. Please do not slander any member, mod or admin. Actions will be taken. Make this a group effort so we're all happy. smile.gif

    5. Post count. Does. Not. Matter. Neither does who's been here the longest.

    ------

    SIGNATURE RULES

Avatars: 100x100 is the standard max.

Signatures: We'd prefer that your signature be 300 width and 200 height pixels. It's the max! anything smaller than that is fine.

Hotlinking Images Please DO NOT hotlink. Hot linking means when you link to an image already on someone's domain name, or another site that is not yours. What you're doing is stealing from them and causing them problems. If you have an image you want to use, save it (providing you made it.) to your computer and upload as a .gif, .png .jpg to tinypic.com or photobucket.com or any other image site that does not allow hotlinking as well.

A GREAT host for Signatures is https://www.forumsigs.com/

    We take this VERY seriously.

Credit/Other people's work: If you see something pretty on Google check and see where it came from, who made it and where it's from. Not just that it's on Google. If it's from DeviantArt, etc has an author you must credit that author with their name and a link if you use a signature. Put the link under the signature or below it. You can even link the signature itself to the credit but please leave the name on it.

For avatars if you didn't make the avatar credit the person in your signature.

Do not steal other people's work, they have worked hard on what they do!

ROLE PLAY & SUBMISSION GUIDE LINES:

All the rules apply to this as well but you must follow the form for submission, as well as WHEN YOU ARE ACCEPTED put our button on your sidebar or wherever you keep links/affiliates. We'd love to be promoted as much as you do!

Submitting an RPG: We look at the following very closely when you submit your rpg, it's not just a 1, 2, 3 and you're approved! It takes time smile.gif.

Spelling and Context: When we look at a 'paragraph' forums we watch for grammar and spelling. You don't have to be perfect but watch out for common mistakes and spellings of words or things in the wrong context.

God Moding: God moding. We take it seriously, if you're not the character you're playing...don't play them. They're not yours.

Quality over quanity.: You don't have to write 45 paragraphs describing someone's blue oculars (eyes), don't go there.

Appearance: Does it look nice? Does the layout appeal to guests eyes as well as the members?

Do we believe you're the canon characters?: Often someone will play someone and make the readers go WHAT they'd never act like that! An example would be turning a straight canon character gay like Brian O'Conner and Dominic Toretto in Fast and The Furious, you just don't do it.

Canon and un-canon are two very different things.

Do you write enough?: Do you give the person enough to work with to get the substance of your post?

    RPG SECTIONS

One Lines: One lining consists of one or two sentences for role playing as your character. Some people frown upon it.

Para: Paragraph role playing is probably the most common, it's in paragraphs, but again you have to do it right for it to work for you.

Prose: Multi-para, novella. Often what people try to do on MySpace now, ha. But seriously if you write 9 paragraphs each post this might be you.

    ANY ADVERTISE SECTION

You cannot post here if you have previously been 'recorded' causing trouble/drama at another board. There will be no exceptions.

If we get wind that you've caused problems, or have stolen graphics, spammed. You cannot post here. sad.gif
