All right, before you do anything, please read this first. It won't take all that long and it will save you some embarrassment, and possible banning! These rules will be enforced, We are not kidding here; if you break it you buy it...with your membership!


I. Administrators, Global Moderators, and Moderators.

Most of you know from previous experience what these titles mean. But just incase I'll explain it. An Admin or "administrator" is the highest in charge on a forum, often the owner or a close friend of the owner. Global or "Super" moderators are like Admins; they have the same power, the same perks, and to most users are no different than Admins. The only thing separating the two is the fact that an Admin can change the site and fire STAFF and a super mod cannot. A moderator is a title you'll all learn to understand. A moderator is in charge of one specific forum, i.e. the 3rd gen. hacking forum or the coding tutorial forum. It is their job to make sure that no one is breaking the rules in the specific forum they are in charge of. If such an incident occurs they may either: delete the post, warn the user, or silent the users posting privileges for an extended period of time.
At any rate you should treat every member with these titles with the utmost respect as they are keeping the forum fun and safe for everyone.


II. Warnings and Bannings


A. Let me just say first; if you get banned without warning, you did something horribly wrong or even ILLEGAL. We HATE banning people, why would we want to lose our friends?!? But if the need does arrive we have a special user group that will go under your name:
BANNED
This means: You cannot post, you cannot read post, you cannot upload, heck you can't even see the board! If you are banned, you're IP banned. Which means even if you try to make a new account, your still banned! But let's hope this never has to occur ok?

B. On the other hand, Suspension can occur to you even if you have less than a single warning! If you are caught doing something against the rules, you could be suspended until we find the appropriate punishment for you. This means that you will be TEMPORARILY banned for an extended period of time, but will be returned to membership later.

C. The Warning system is used by staff members. Only members belonging to these groups can view your warning levels. You cannot even see your own warning level for threat precautions.

III. Cursing


We believe in your rights. If you feel the need to curse, so be it. Our filters are not made to catch such things. We do not, however, accept racial remarks or seniority down-casting. Don't know what I mean? I mean, calling someone a "***" or "***" is just NOT ACCEPTABLE. Everyone her is an equal, we are all the same, no matter what skin color. If you have an issue about this, please leave, or learn to keep those opinions inside. Basically, If you have to think about if it's bad to call someone something, don't do it.


IV. Illegal and/ or Risque Materials


This, to many people is a loose subject; here, it is not! Listed below are un-accepted materials.
-rom links and/ or rom downloads
-links to emulators
-Pornographic material (no hentai, yaoi, yuuri or otherwise)
-Copyrighted materials (music, games, BIOS files, books, Firmware, or any other copyrighted media)
-Materials against the rules or online games or companies spoke about on this site.(This means if it's against the rules on their sites and products, it's against the rules here.)
Any use of "loose" adaptations to these rules, will be harshly enforced. We may actually BAN you on these accounts without notice. If you have any questions on acceptable materials, please PM a staff member.

V. Member Rules

Ok here we go... These are the rules for posting in forums or "threads".

1. NO SPAMMING OR FLOODING!
This is so annoying and a pet peeve of mine! If you are caught doing this we will suspend you and figure out an appropriate punishment.

2. DO NOT DOUBLE OR MULTI-POST!
If you need to add something to your post, use the edit tool located to the upper right-hand corner of your post.

3. NO ADVERTISING!
If you want people to know of your site or forum, put it in your sig, that's your space!

4. POSTS MUST CONTAIN ATLEAST 15 CHARACTERS!
Each post, unless otherwise specified, must contain atleast 15 characters. We do have a filter for this!

5. NEVER GIVE AWAY PERSONAL INFORMATION!
Please do not give away your password, specific location, or anything else private! This could cause legal action, and because we want NONE OF THAT! Banning will occur for you and the person you were talking to indefinitely!

6. DO NOT ARGUE WITH MODERATORS!
Their decision is FINAL! They are trusted members of our community and we therefore believe in their judgment. However, if you do feel their decision was unfair please contact an admin personally via PM and they can discuss it with you.


VI. PM (Private Message)


Private messages are what you can use to talk to other users of this forum without other members seeing it. It's like E-mail, but ran completely through the forum. The rules for PM's are the same as posted above in the Posting rules.

VII. Staff Decisions

Seniority Decisions are those made by the user groups stated above: administrators, global mods, and moderators. Any decision made by these user groups are FINAL and no public arguing will be accepted. If, however, you feel that a decision made by a Moderator was in bad taste contact an administrator via PM. If you want to discuss actions performed by higher staff, please contact us via E-mail; as your account may have been banned.

VIII. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Can I Become A Moderator?
Sorry, but asking just isn't enough. If we believe that you're Moderator material we will ask you via PM. We will be hiring moderators quite frequently considering this is a new forum; If your really good and help other members (Don't just quote regulations and pretend you are already one!) we may just be considering you. But don't be upset if you were not picked, a lot of other "secret" requirements are brought up when picking moderators like, "Not asking to be a moderator".

Can I have my own user group?
Nope, sorry. As of this moment all the user groups are made. But in the future we may add more to spice up the forums a bit. If you feel there is a user group that absolutely must be added, please tell us in the "suggestions" area.

How do I add my user title?
YOUR USER TITLE?! YOUR USER TITLE!?!?! Just kidding, you can do this by going to your personal settings and typing it in yourself. If you are having troubles, chances are you haven't got 10 posts yet, which you need in order to change it.

I've PMed a Admin, but they haven't responded yet!
Don't freak! Admins are incredibly busy and it may take a while for them to get to your message, but rest assured they will answer it. Do not be offended if an admin doesn't respond to your personal PMs...
