PS: We write by letter, so i will get more info on Friday.

You know, I've heard of a mapping tool for D/P that's in Japanese. Only problem is I can't seem to find any sort of link or person who knows the link. If you can get him to join and maybe we can discuss...

Well, my dad's computer can't view Japanese, but if either of your guys computers can, just go to google.co.jp and search for it. You have a way better chance with that.

Hm, i wonder...you see i have this theory about DP mapping, that the normal elevation which is the ground is tiles and the trees, mountains, etc are 3-d objects, so that you just place those objects anywhere with out difficult tiling and that you can place them anywhere, that way wen you walk up or down objects or pass by buildings, it is 3-d, due to the elevation and view the your OW (main character), at least that is what i think, if that is true it would be awesome, due to the fact that all that tile mapping will be easier...thank god...lol

Well I would like to hear more theories...do tell DP Hacking members...

Hmm... That sounds pretty reasonable. Though, I'm not sure myself how they mapped it, it's obvious they did in fact move from using their original "x" and "y" planes to, "x", "y", and "z" planes. How they have done this, however; I am unsure. Hopefully someone with a large brain will figure this out for the rest of us still very far in the dark...

No problem Spenc, it's Algebra. Basically the "x" and "y" planes are those that go vertically and horizontally. This is 2D. The "z" plane adds deph to the mix. This is 3D. It's really not that hard to understand once you get used to it.

On topic: I haven't really looked a lot, but I have searched some and I can't seem to find it... Oh well, I'm sure it will appear sometime.

I can't wait till Dad unlocks YouTube (He locked it) because if people discover things that is there first destination... We might be able to find mapper names there...

Well actually, we're debating over whether there is one at all... It seems a lot of people claim to be working on one, most of the time with great success, but I'm still not sure. Yes, looking on google.jp won't really work all that well unless you search a Japanese term.

Well, I think that the best chance of finding it is like this:

1. Go to an online translator and translate something like "Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Map Editor" from English to Japanese.

2. Copy the translation into the Japanese Google search bar

3. Try and learn japanese (or just translate the page into English)

4. Press Control+F and type in "Map Editor" (or something similar)

5. If it's not there, try the next search result

Well, that's just the way I think someone should at least try.

Well... That might work for some things, but... Google's (or any other) online translator is not so good with Japanese. Actually, It makes complete babble out of the language. You can try, but the results probably wouldn't come out too good. Also, we have a resident Japanese expert here, DP Master. He knows Japanese pretty well.
