I opened Diamond in thingy and got out my old Firered TBL file and i got something weird...

So... what does that mean? I thought Diamond was encrypted so that every letter was 4 bytes instead of the usual 2. Hmm...

Now I'm starting to make a Tbl file for it... I've got three letters down so far...

But you said you knew three letters... I'm confused. You had my hopes up Spence. Though, I have to say 11235 did say there was a legit way to hack the text. He explains it on Pokecommunity. As soon as I understand it, I will make a more... easier tutorial for the site. If anybody else understands it, don't hesitate to make a tutorial!

Don't worry, I just didn't know what you meant. My tbl file uses 2 digits. I'm still not sure whether it is 2 or 4, but my tbl file seems to be able to edit certain parts of the Prof Rowan part at the start, if you change the text.

Well, once you find one letter, you can find them all! This would be great if you could finish it!

You can find the whole normal hex table in the rom. Well I do not think these acually reprsent the same text in game. BTW you can use hex for pal editing. I'm going to try and find the same pattern as was in the jappense rom because I have the complete table file for the jappenese rom. Why is J a p blurted out?

This is said to work, but I haven't had much luck with it. Then again the text probally stored right in row... I just remembered I had used an uncrypting tool so my rom won't work with the encrypted table file.

Ah the problem was I was searching for english text I need to search for japenese text the translater I used wasn't good. Babelfish can translate some stuff okay.

I tried it, but I wasn't really paying attention. If you get this to work Foofatron that would be really great! Good luck!

Hmm maybe I'll make a short text editing tool for this. Dang making the table file for my tool is taking forever...
