Actually, I'm not quite sure that is a good idea either. Trust me, it's not my rule, It's invisionfree's. I mean, I don't want the site to get popular and then get it shut down because we are distributing illegal materials. So for now, please use E-mail.

Yeah, I think it illegal, but downloading ROM's is not illegal if you own the original copy of the same game. I think sending by E-mail is more safe.

you can't just steal another copy of the game cuz you bought one :/ it's not legal

See, now here's where I think there's room to debate. On one hand, once you buy a copy, it's yours. You may do whatever you please with it, even make a copy of it on your computer. But on the other hand, this has to infringe upon copyrights. As for myself, I'm not sure where I stand.

if you have the equipment to back it up, then i think it's ok, but the act of downloading it makes it illegal.

But the official Nintendo site states you must own the game you are downloading as a ROM if you want it to be "legal" downloading.

I thought the nintendo site just said "**** YOU HACKERS AND ROM DLERS!!". anyway, i doubt everyone here has a japanese copy of d/p

I actually do happen to own a Japanese Pearl version. Though it's useless now, I fried the interal clock when I did the E4 glitch. It was fun while it lasted. But DP Master is right, downloading the game is not illegal because you already own a copy. Now, if you had a bunch of flash cartriges, downloaded games to them, and sold them. Then no, that would be illegal.

Yeah, whoever does that is a stupid pirate! I still can't find the stuff I need to play Diamond and Pearl ROMS... :(

Really? Whenever I try to use it, it says stuff like "The Data Could Not Be Read", it's really annoying.

Lol, yeah, the only problem is that right now I'm only good at mapping, and there aren't any mapping tools (that we know of) yet. So I think I'll wait a little before I really start hacking D/P big time. :)

When there is enough tools to make a good hack we should all work together on it. So the first full English D/P hack won't be just a so so hack.

It is nice to know people are getting stuff to happen.

Yes, I'm very suprised at the progress thus far. When I started thinking of diamond and pearl hacking, we couldn't do anything substantial! As to your project idea, Coin, I agree.

Good idea. I'll be the graphics guy. If you have ever read one of my sprite tuts, or played Pokemon PinkMew, you'll see that everything to do with art is really good. I've never actually been really good at coding/scripting.

Yes Coin, I think you're right. We're really trying to start to early, we're think about the hack of D/P we'll make before we even know how to hack D/P.
