Favorite Anime/manga

Since it seems we are all fans of animes and mangas, it would only be right to start a topic here ^-^

So let's start with the mangas first...

My favorite mangas would have to be most of Kaori Yuki's work like in Angel Sanctuary and Boys Next Door. I love the way she portrays her characters where sometimes she even is able to show mixed emotions in just one facial expression. I can never have enough of her work.

Another definite favorite of mine would have to be Tramps Like Us (Kimi Wa Petto in Japanese). I adore the main character and the way her inner self feels when faced with certain situations. Somehow I relate to her, that's why she is my absolute favorite character in the whole series. If no one's heard of this you should absolutely get it. I recommend it not only because the characters are loveable but it also shows a realistic approach to particular circumstances that each and every one of us faces...without using superpowers, larger than life machines, or magical abilities ^-^;;


As for animes, my favorites would have to be Dragonball Z and One Piece. Both of them are always able to leave a smile on my face at the end of each episode, especially One Piece. At first I was fooled by One Piece's childish-cartoonish sort of presentation but it definitely grew on me from the first episode. Absolutely fantastic.
Other animes that I enjoy include Death Note, Devil May Cry (even though there isn't enough of Dante T-T), Hunter x Hunter, Hellsing, The Gargoyle of the Yoshinagas, and probably more than my mind can think of....so yeah... <.<;;

I did have this LONG list of things with lots of wordings... but my internet quit out on my >.< So I'm just going to mainly list.

Violinist of Hameln VERY big favorite of mine.


Anime: Fushigi Yugi, Cromartie High School, Anything by Leiji Matsumoto, Galaxy Express 999, Harlock Saga, Arcadia of My Youth, Gun Frontier, etc. Revolutionary Girl Utena, Hellsing, Vampire Hunter D, Initial D. Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl), Ouran Host Club, Code Geass

You are the first person I know that has read it. It was my first yaoi manga and it was so sweet and filled with unspoken emotions. It was just so great.
I actually cried in the end T-T

I have wanted to read the Count Cain mangas but I was never able to find it anywhere, not as a scanlation or in bookstores...

That's weird, either Walden Books or Barns and Nobles should have them, that's where I got mine from. But I too, cried at the end of the manga of Boy Next Door, it was such a good manga, I really think that they should make an anime movie of it or something. But it is my favorite work by her.

I don't have these bookstores near where I live <.<;;
But yeah, anything made by Kaori Yuki is amazing. There is a new manga she's working on now but I forgot what its called. I'll have to find some more info about it ^-^;;

One word for Kaori Yuki.
AMAZING.
I'm doing a report on her for my art class next Tuesday as well. ^_^

Yessshhh, I have heard of that one and the artwork is pretty amazing but the one I was talking about is called 0 no Soukoushi or Parfum Extrait 0 in English. Its still new and I'm still gathering info on it ^-^

I want to read Fairy Cube bad, I can't wait for it to come out.

There's also another old manga by Kaori Yuki called Screw. I've always wanted to read that...even though I have yet to find out what its about =P

Yeah, she mentions it in the side panels of the Earl Cain Series, but never really says what it's about v.v my only hope is to perhaps stumble upon it on some scanlation site. Oh, has anyone read her Gravel Kingdom?

I'm not sure if I did. If it talks about a prince then I probably have ^-^;;

I was just asking because I know they had it on sakuracrisis.net but that place doesn't exist anymore v.v and I wanted to read it but by the time I got my computer back from being dead.... T.T it was already too late.

I saved some mangas from sakuracrisis before it went down. I'll check through my stuff and if I have it, I'll send it to you. But first...I have to go look through my thousands of CD's XD

Perhaps, I know I was mad in vol. 6 of Godchild, and sad at the same time, I just wish that they would have made Angel Sanc. into a proper series instead of that four episode (I do believe it was four) OVA that just stopped there and didn't go on to the finer details of the story.

Exactly, I had hoped the same thing too. I didn't think they'd just stop it there. It was so abrupt and...unfinished. But at least it was better than nothing =/

True true, it was better than nothing.
Ah perhaps they will redo it?
I mean, it was such a fantastic series that it very well should and could become re-made into a longer series.

Yeah... a lot of her work is sad and depressing... v.v maybe it'll be a light... cheery work? ^^;; but then again, that might be too weird.

hm.... my fav manga will be death note and one piece....
death note is very hard to predict what to happen next...
n idk y i love one piece... haha....

as for anime... hm... i dont watch anime much..... still searchin 4 my fav... haha...

I always thought the best part of Deathnote was L. He's such a squeeable (that's totally my word) character :D Not to mention he's cunning and smart ^^

Hmmm yeah that is true. The cover artwork just took me by a bit of a shock. It looks so colorful and magical.



L is AMAZING.
He's funny, quirky, smart.
He's just a hero. :3
