CygyTalk Board Guidelines

Welcome to the official CygyTalk Discussion Board! This board was created for you! It was created so you can have a place to discuss the past, present, and future in everything and anything you ever wanted to talk about! We believe here that everything is worth a talk, with that being said though, there are a few simple guidelines that you must follow.

Courtesy –
If you treat others how you would like to be treated, you will have no need to read the rest of the rules. However, the rules are posted anyways as a reference.

Free Speech –
Yes, you do have the right of free speech; however you are not allowed to abuse this right against your fellow members. See the rules below as to what is and isn't permitted.

Language –
We would like it if you would not curse; however, if you do there has been a word filter setup to censor the foul language.

Spamming –
Spamming in our minds consists of random posts after another by one member for no reason. Whether it be to disrupt our members here or to advertise a website, we are not going to tolerate it. You will receive two warnings before a temporary suspension. If it continues when you return, it will result in a banning.

Flaming –
Don’t do it. Period. If you disagree with something, explain why. Do NOT attack the person or their opinion, but rather state why you disagree or what you see differently. No racial insults or slurs will be tolerated. No use of derogatory comments relating to someone’s sexuality. A well constructed feud is okay, but one that goes out of hand to where the whole board is involved can result in banning. Again, don't do it!

Promoting other sites/boards –
Advertising can be dealt with the administrator Marcus Cygy, and you can email him at marcus05@shaw.ca.

Promoting a personal website or personal discussion board in your signature is strictly prohibited. If you are to do so, you will be told to remove it right away by a moderator and if you do not listen, you will receive a warning. The only possible way to have a personal website link in your signature is if you are an official affiliate with CygyTalk. Links to general sites in your signature are okay. (ie. NHL.com, NFL.com, TNAwrestling.com, WWE.com, etc.)

Spoilers –
If you create a WWE, TNA, or ROH spoilers thread, it must be created in either the "WWE Spoilers" forum, the "TNA Spoilers" forum, or the "ROH Spoilers" forum (to whichever your spoiler applies to). Your topic title must include the word "spoiler" somewhere in it, and you must also be careful to not give away the spoiler in the topic title.

Moderators – Their functions, powers, and abilities…

These are the people that keep CygyTalk in order. They have the last say in all situations. All moderators have the ability to warn you if you have broken one of the laws. Bottom line is if you do not break any of the guidelines, you will be okay. However if you do, here is how the warning system works:

- First time, you will be warned not to do it again.
- Second time, you will be warned once again not to break the guidelines.
- Third time, you should have already understood, but if you didn't, you will be suspended by a forum moderator. The suspension will then be brought to Marcus Cygy to where he will decide if you will be banned or not.

Obviously, these warnings/three chances will be dealt in a fair manner; but if they are all in one month, then it will get serious. In a course of 3-5 months, you will just receive a small suspension and be back posting in no time.
