(Link to SS is at the bottom, so don't tell me SS or it didn't happen!)

I would love to post this on the Durotan forums, but I know it'd get deleted, so I'll just bring this over here.

A few months ago, Ultraking & I were testing out the old DK bug that made it capable to fling someone through the world to Arathi by Death Gripping someone off the boat leaving STV. This guy Fanagler whispered him on his death knight and asked for "sum gold." UK told him he didn't like beggars, and when the guy kept bothering him, he challenged him to a duel. Fanagler accepted, and the rest is history--he ended up with my character Sonora falling to our deaths from a boat hanging in mid-air in STV.

Or is it history? About a month ago, Fanagler whispered him while he was tooling around on his DK again (I guess he'd added him to his friends list...yeah) and asked him if he could give him some gold. In complete disbelief that this guy would ask after being flung off the earth, UK asked Fanagler why in the hell he would think to ask him for gold, and he said something to the affect of "i don no jus saw ur name on my list n thot id ask." So UK told Fanagler to meet him in SW, which was quite a journey since the little noob was hitting crosks in Wetlands. When Fanagler finally whispered him to say that he'd arrived, UK told him, "Let that be a reminder, and DON'T EVER ASK ME FOR GOLD AGAIN." and ignored him.

A month later, UK's on his DK again and unignored Fanagler on a whim. Sure enough, he gets whispered asking for gold again. This time, convinced that there was no way to teach this guy anything and deciding to toy with him, UK told him that he had some blue bracers on him (DRAGON BRACERS) that were worth a lot of gold that he would trade him. He convinced the guy that he would meet him in SW ("for reelz"), and did; but then he told Fanagler that he would have to go to "DK Hold" to get to his special "DK bank" and offered to open a Death Gate. You can imagine what happened when Fanagler tried to click on the gate. UK ignored him again.

Two weeks later and it's today. This time, he whispers ME on Sonora and asks if I can help. I don't have the patience for the "game," so I told him that he needed to L2Play and stop spending all of his time asking people on his friends list for gold. Then I told him he should ask UK, because he's a lot more helpful. He told me to "shit up" and ignored me.

UK signed onto his DK, and sure enough, here comes Fanagler whispering him, this time threatening to report him for lying about giving him gold. UK tells him he'll pay him not to report him (LOL), and meets him in SW. He opens a trade window and puts in 200g, fakes a DC, comes back, tells him the trade window was broken, opens it again, and then tells him his GF had come ("for a booty call") and he had to leave, then promptly logs off.

I pray that he reports UK. I wish I could see the GM's reaction.

Check out UK's Gallery of Fun with Fanagler

TL;DR: Beggars are fun toys.

Although I really and truly can't stand beggars (I believe that is now quite evident), I have had more fun with this guy than anything I can think of in recent memory. Good times man, good times.

Reminds me of the time a few days ago of when I was talking in trade about my Thunderfury and two people whispered me where I got it from. They actually believed me when I told them I had to kill 100,000 Kobolds outside of Stormwind to get it.

I will post screenshots. Yes, I do have those. You think I am going to pass up something as funny as that?

I think not!

I think Fanagler has finally gotten the hint.

If you whisper "DRAGON" to him, he'll ignore you instantly. Guaranteed.

LOL!!

I wish I was still on Durotan some days for stuff like this. Nesingwary just doesn't have this level of sheer comedy.

Freaking hilarious. UK, you're my new hero. biggrin.gif

Oughtta tell them that they can dupe items and sell the dupes for cash by creating a macro that says, "/duplicate item", dropping their items on the ground, clicking the macro while the "Are you sure you want to destroy *item*" message comes up and then pressing "Yes." Tell them because of a bug they'll get their duplicates in an hour.

Haha. I remember reading that years ago and to this day, anytime I get hit by a beggar I simply say "meet me at the bank" .

Haha that was pretty awesome. Some guys just never learn.

I did try that DK Death Grip bug on an unsuspecting Landon, but Blizzard has since fixed it. sad.gif

PS: Nice job on the forums, Ambermist.
