FPS problems

or Lag, one of the two.

Seems my FPS drops when firing, so if I am holding the mouse and try swinging to side to side, it lags like a mofo.

I don't know what the fudge to do, but it sucks. Only FPS games installed atm are TFC and CS1.6, which are both affected.

I am running a ATI X800 GTO pro.

pretty sure it's a dirver issues, but have tried a couple different one's now and no luck. anyone else have the same card or know a good driver for it?

U tried running the cfg's that take out the extra stuff like dead bodies and misc props? Boosted my FPS by around 20 back when I played.

Well, it's weird, it seems to drop down to 70ish (and just for an instant) when I am holding the trigger and swinging. Normally, it never ever drops below 100 no matter what the circumstances.

So I am wondering if it's something stupid like vsync, which I forget how to toggle with.

I should say it feels like I am on ice when I move, as it just doesn't stutter, it's just very very hard to turn, like if you were trying to turn your car on ice.
