EU stands for the European Union, an union of European states that have a common currency, foreign policy, tariffs, etc. They have a goal, to save humanity or to establish morality and human rights in other countries. If there is a country that is mass killing its citizens, the EU will step in, usually with the help of the UN (United Nations) to stop the terror and promote peace and stability. Before actually pursue their goal, the members proved their citizens with special human rights. (Such as gay and lesbian marriages, smoking of Pot in licensed cafes, and much more) This seems like a great aspiration for the EU but is there something else they desire? Is this a facade they establish to hide their true intentions? I believe it's their way of influencing smaller countries into western ideals and capitalism, pulling them away from their traditional values. It actually benefits many countries but others, its like shock therapy, the sudden, radical reform to capitalism; one that they are not used to. Some countries want to stay the same, they want to keep their traditional values and they see western influences such as the EU and the U.S. as corrupters. It's quite a shock to see kids with walkmans and Nike shoes walking around their country. Such expressions eventually lead to great battles and wars. What is your opinion? Do you think EU's vision is positive or negative?
