Picture Upload Details

Hopefully this will answer some questions on uploading phots/pics :huh:

The most important aspect seems to be the picture dimensions. Be sure that the dimensions of the picture are no more than 1000x1000 pixels. For example, in photoshop you choose the "Image" menu, then "Image Size..." then input pixel size of 1000 x 1000 pixels or less and then "OK". Then save your image and you should be able to upload it.

Also, the total file size cannot exced 3.8mb (3800 kb for people like me who need the conversion!)

I'm trying to work on allowing larger pictures, but I think this is a good start.

Please let me know if you still have problems so I can fix it because after all, this site is worthless without pics!! :P

Ok Pappa Smurf - I couldn't upload the pic you sent me, but I opened the original larger picture in photoshop - adjusted the image size (with the constrain proportions box checked) then did "Save for Web..." and saved the optimized version - total it was 940 x 680 @ 48 K. then logging on as you I had no trouble uploading - so give it another shot...

One more note - According to Invision Board (the software/server)

Note: Pictures (.gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png) must be smaller than 200kb and 75kb for any other type of allowed file
