A city that was founded in 1845 is enriched with wealthy and renowned actors, singers, etc., luxurious homes, and many amenities and makes it one of the most renowned cities in the area. Many of the residents who reside in this gated community are of the rich and famous. Broadway actors/actresses, tv personalities, singers, models, Wall Street Investors, you name it, it's here.
Within the hustle and bustle of New York however, lies this small community and the residents who look after one another. A community filled with mansions, and modest homes, the residents want for not. A private golf club, a private pool, shopping centers, parks, restaurants, and Winchester Heights Academy. This is where the action is. If you ask any of the students that go Winchester Heights Academy they will tell you the same. For anyone looking from the outside in, life in Winchester Heights seems glamorous. However, even in a life full of glitz and glamor, things aren't always as they seem.
The school athletic department is at the center of an investigation after the death of their beloved and fellow Wolverine which shocks not only the academy, but the community itself as a whole. Not only do they have that investigation continuing to heat up but they also have to worry about the upcoming cheerleading competition in which the Wolverine Cheerleaders have made the regionals 7 times in the last ten years. It is quite an accomplishment for this small academy of 750. However, with it comes a lot of pressure and stress. From preparing a new routine for both the National and Regional competition every year to making that routine better than ever every time they take the "stage" with the hope that they well enough to take back a trophy. The girls on the squad will do anything and everything in order to win, even if that means stealing cheers from a nearby high school.
Mack was the girlfriend of Hackett and is naturally shook up by the sudden loss of her boyfriend and has been on the cheerleading squad since her freshman year. This year however she was handed the much talked about "Spirit stick" and took over the team from Oliver when it was discovered of the cheating. Now that she had been ousted Mack needs to work harder than ever to prove to her squad that she has what it takes to turn the squad around and capture the regional title. Can she do it or will she be ousted as well?
Hackett's death came as a shock for everyone in the academy. Fingers were pointed and questions were raised. How did he die? Was it a homicide or was it something else? Hackett had everything going for him, had a football scholarship to Notre Dame, had a girlfriend he was head over heels for, and was graduating with honors. His family doesn't believe for one minute that he would have killed himself, and they are insisting that foul play is to blame. Will they get to the truth? If it -was- a homicide, who killed him, and WHY?
With the new school year right around the corner, the investigation is heating up and looming over everyone's minds, will the Wolverines come out on top? Or will their lives fall into a complete spiral? How will the investigation affect the students as a whole? Will they live their lives as they would, or will they falter under the mounting pressure that the investigation brings? Will the presence of the local police department be too much for the kids or will they be able to BRING IT ON?
