Greetings fellow Bog Leeches, I recently came across this video showcasing 5 of the most amazing B movie monsters ever committed to film. You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubYC5h0jmq0I have to try making a jellyfish costume like that some time. The video got me thinking about some of the great low budget B movie monsters I've seen/heard about. I recall hearing about one movie which starred an invisible allosaur. Yes an invisible allosaur which kills people in the modern era. I would love to see that movie. Please post more great bad movie monsters. I'd love to read about them.

The Killer Shrews, from the old old OLD movie....The Killer Shrews. "The "shrews" in this ultra-low-budget film are small dogs dressed in animal skins designed to make them look vaguely like large shrews (they even bark audibly in many scenes). Puppets made from similar animal skins were used for closeups." Edit: ....oh fuck, the video actually mentions them. I didn't watch before posting. WELL THEN, I HAVE NOTHING.

Yes. His monstrous staggering was... authentic.
I saw a movie recently called Malibu Shark Attack. Apparently, goblin sharks are thirty feet long, hunt in packs, have beaks filled with needle teeth instead of extendo-jaws, and are thought to be extinct. Not surprisingly, this was a SciFi Original Movie.

No worries, the shrews are amazing enough to mention twice. Actually, I have to be honest; it may just be due to the fact that they are actually animals, but I do find the killer shrews to be rather disturbing to watch. corpsecreature's comment about the alien suit reminds me of a lot of...creative kaiju costumes I have seen, but I'll refrain from turning this into yet another kaiju thread and instead bring up Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_of_the_Killer_TomatoesThe original trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebfLWAB8bY4The film was intentionally bad, paying tribute to the golden age of B movies. The film spawned several sequals and spin offs, including a Saturday morning cartoon show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36NgK-vJc1M

KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE!Was an absolutely godly movie. The creature designs kept you guessing time and time again, and it never fails to surprise you if you have not seen the trailor. The creature designs are actualy quite stunning, but the whole premise of the movie is stupid to take seriously for ign single second! The clowns have god like technology, which seems to come in never ending forms, all designed to slaughter the human race. They even have what looks like a clown god, queen, or war lord in the final scenes. I'd recomend watching it, but don't watch the trailor untill youve watched the movie. If you do, it will ruin the entire thing. I'm never going to eat popcorn/cotton candy again, I'll tell you that much.

Haven't seen either, but the first Gingerdead Man was about a Gary Busey-possessed cookie killing people. The sequel......Oh....My......God............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0SuKTAMnbQAlso Jack Frost: (The one that kills people and curses, not the Michael Keaton one.) and Leprechaun in Space: Not only the best Leprechaun film, but quite possibly the best film ever.
