I stopped taking these people seriously a long time ago.

"Hey, this new video game has animals in it! We must protest about it!"

I honestly think their rough-n-tumble pit fighting tepig is adorable.

I love how they have Pikachu holding a sign that says "I support Team Plasma." Looks Like PETA didn't do its research......again.

...Has PETA ever done one of these about the video games that are actually about hunting?

These guys are the same people that insist on spamming facebook pages with pictures of horribly mutilated animals in an attempt to scare people away from eating meat.
I myself am an advocate for animal rights, but to far less extremes. I support cruelty free farms and volunteer at a dog rescue. Still, these people are pretty goddamn extreme.

I think these guys haven't even seen the anime or played the games, they just heard about it and after looking at some memes tey decided to protest against it.

I now feel obligated to post a link to this video, where Moviebob shows how Peta aren't just publicity-whores, but also animal-murdering hypocrites.

This morning I found my third dead cat this week, I think it's a good luck sign.

I dont think so but then again i think they want to cause a shit storm so they go after more publicly known video games.

PETA wants people to look at their crap and give them publicity, thinking of it that way it perfectly makes sense that they'd do a flub of pokemon and bask in the attention of all the nerds complaining that they aren't familiar with pokemon.

That sounds like trolls, I shouln't have fed them.

This entire situation is hilarious to me, if only for the fact that since Team Plasma was made as a reference to people criticizing the franchise for animal cruelty, or the "Pokemon are Satanic" crowd, PETA is basically parodying the parodies of themselves.

There's a word for what's going on with this, but I can't pin it down. I want to say something along the lines of incest or inbreeding though, which is never something you want something associated with your organization.

I've got an idea for an awesome game. I call it "Super PETA Party!"

As a new member of PETA, you are given a scythe and charged with the task of "freeing" animals. You have to "free" pets from their owners, because owning pets is wrong. You have to "free" animals from the zoo, because keeping them in cages is wrong. And, you have to "free" animals from farms, because eating meat is wrong.

And by "free", I mean kill.
