I'm making myself a sort of scavenger list of games to download. I played and beat this surreal rpg maker game last night entitled Middens: http://rpgmaker.net/games/3843/

It's like Grand Theft Auto bred with Final Fantasy bred with Yume Nikki. It starts out with a talking gun with Rocky Horror Picture Show lips ordering you to kill a multitude of monsters in some obscure corner of the universe.

There's also Space Funeral from a few years back: http://rpgmaker.net/games/2430/
The graphics are purposely awful but endearing, and the soundtrack is almost entirely late sixties experimental music. Anyone played these?

You BEAT Middens? I'm still going around trying to kill things and get items that various NPCs keep asking me for

I rather like Talkative Pistol, for some reason...

Yeah, not to spoil too much but after you kill about thirty or forty enemies and unequip and requip the gun you'll be given a new ability that'll allow you to reach the game's end areas. How many nothings do you currently have(check your pause menu's lower left-hand corner)?

I was able to activate the effect with 'thirty' something nothings in my inventory. One way to cultivate these quickly is to go to the swirly color wall paper room(located in the Beetlegrounds) and move all the way to its end corridor where the bloody bunny mouth creatures live. As soon as you attempt to fire on them they'll swarm you. Each battle brings you into a fight with three creatures and while they're hard battles you'll win 3 nothings for every one you win.

I managed to get the ending with 31 just by fighting Thrones and various other NPCs who can only interact with you by challenging you to a fight (Soul Eaters and stuff) or were in the goddamn way

well, that was quite an ending
