Not yet, they're still too slow and clunky to be practical in actual combat from the looks of it.

Maybe in a few years when robots are faster.

Maybe, but it looks like something you could use in combat, But I do agree that they need to work on the landspeed of those robots, but they are getting there.

Well the commercial seems more designed to attract rich people looking for something fun to own.

This design is all but completely useless for combat. Even with functional weapons I didn't see it do anything that a 40 year old tank can't do far, far better. The iphone control implies it would be easy to hack as well.

It may have some use in riot control, but that's about all I can think of.

People are already making and using "drones" of sorts with enough AI to detect the surface they are on and very manipulative legs.
If they can apply these mechanics on a mech, it would be a much faster and more reliable weapon. It could also hold more guns or cannons than a tank, and presumably turn around faster or aim higher.

Although there are always normal vehicles that would do better.
