World Building, LET'S BUILD A WORLD

Hello everyone. This is a collaborative project to build a little fantasy world. Everyone who wants to will get to contribute something to the world, but it has to be related to their contributions to the community so that there's some level of balance.

First, the world proper. I generated the plate tectonics of the land that serves as our setting. In the east there are low mountains and elevated stretches of land covered in moors (basically heath land that occasionally has bogs.) These areas have rare, mild earthquakes. In the south there are very tall mountains and some dormant volcanoes, as well as some hotsprings/geysers. The northwest gets very little precipitation due to all the mountains, and is mostly rocky desert. Civilization lives primarily in the mountains/moors.

Four designed transportation. The people have trolleys that go between mountains.

Cosbydaf is working on an alternate dimension that is unpleasant.

ElementJester is working on a species of monster found in the valleys that makes it hard for people to settle there.

Outhouseinferno is designing the civilization that lives in the moorland. So far they hunt Yetis and have wizards.

KDarkness designed an important item in this world. Lemon scented soap that can be burned as fuel in addition to cleaning.

Chupacabra designed the drug Rextasy. It slowly mutates the body and at first makes it more attractive, but as time goes on will slowly shift the body further and further away from anything human.

TheLeader will design a civilzation's military once a civilization has been finished.

RasecWizzlbang is designing an employment agency that hires freelancers to do various jobs.

Krader is designing a microbe that infests some of the hotsprings.

I never intended on doing the science, so I'm cool with it. I actually wanted to design some sort of underground illegal blood sport. Almost like a cross between dogfighting and monster fighting, you know what I mean?

Rugnor: Your most notable contribution thus far has been the link to that video that caused the wortcov/Rev/everyone else debacle. You can choose a taboo of one or all of the societies, something that just isn't done lest it result in arguments and possibly violence.

Vile Pile: At this point you've mainly introduced us to that incomprehensible book of strangeness. You can design a book that no one knows how to read. Since it's contents are mysterious you may have to focus on it's back story/illustrations/figures.

PyroGibberish: Given your work on the Mortasheen games and your monster illustrations, I'm actually ok with you designing an underground blood sport. Just be aware that the only "monster" we have right now are Yetis, and they might be too conspicuous for an illegal sport.

Shoggoth: You can design some kind of clothing worn either by a special group or for a special occasion.

xolta: You gave us Lucha Jack, Byorg and so many quotable moments. You can decide on a fad that is sweeping the the main civilization.
