super monster byorg is a short movie i will be working on in the upcoming weeks. This topic will be a kinda development blog of sorts. The movie will be a seven minute long blend of stop animation, stock footage and what ever.

So how are you going to do it?
Are you just using the godzilla toy you have as a byorg thing, or some kind of dinosaur toy? Did you sculpt one, or mix a bunch of parts of things together for your model? |

I plan on useing a toy. If i cant find a dinosaur toy wit good eough movement then i will just use the one i have.

Ooh, I'd be down with doing voices, assuming I can figure out how to get this microphone to save to a file.

Outhouse sugeted I do any seen in the movie were Byorg comes up from the ocean depths in a smialr fashion to godzilla. I made this test animation as prof of concept and input will help me decide if some thing like this makes it into the final version movie. Tomorrow I put the proof read ( thanks again cosbydaf) version if the rough draft so every one can mock me/ input -------------------- Curently banned for life for blockbuster and hollywood video

Xolta, I'm not sure if you understand what stop motion is.

What you've got appears to be a slideshow of different shots of the dinosaur toy. If you want to do stop motion, you need to take many pictures of the dinosaur from the same shot with the dinousur very gradually changing position.

Something liek this would be stop motion.
 Notice how the background doesn't move along with the subjects until it needs to, that probably would be the easiest way to start. If you break it down, each frame has something different happening, but it's really just 1 frame, or picture, changed from the first frame at a time. Hence, the "stop". Then they're edited together so the viewer sees them rapidly and it creates the illusion of "motion". You lucha jack struggling in the dinosaur's mouth was a far better example than your byorg. And I told you to take more pics. Even though 4 frames is technically more than 2, that's still not enough. I'm honestly not sure stop motion is suitable for a xolta project, given the amount of work involved.

Yeah, at this point I wouldn't mind everything being hand-manipulated as long as it had a solid script.
