TO THE MOST BEWARE POWER

Those are too cool to ignore.

Here's Arglaglr, Kragarf (and mini Kragarf) and a tiny Barfasaurus which will be used either as a byproduct of the boss version's vomit, or as an enemy appearing only in the castle that Barfasaurus lies within...

These are still works-in-progress, and I have yet to sprite the other bosses. I'll probably be able to fit them all in by having little "mid-bosses" fought in the middle of each world.

Making them up as I went along I figured maybe one or two might be legitimately good

But I kinda wound up liking them all anyway

I might even make a Mortasheen out of Kragarf some day

It's Barfasaurus! He's a resprited Blargg boss that shoots vomit projectiles with each lunge. He takes four spin-jump hits to defeat. To spruce things up, the lava/acid/vomit (and that one platform) also rises and falls, adding an extra bit of challenge to the fight.

I actually thought the original Clam Thang might be some sort of snack food, but he could have also just been looking at a featureless, solid grey block with the words "clam thang" on it, like they sell to cool kids these days.

And Bupp's arena!

It will sit on the top of the big area over Clam Thang while tossing torpedoes at him. Every once in a while a koopasnailthing is generated and falls through the (as of now VERY SCREWY LOOKING) moving hole, allowing Clam Thang to throw the shell back up as an attack!

There's probably also going to be a puzzle boss or something (Arglaglr or HEEEECH!!! perhaps) that requires a certain trick to defeat. As for boss order, all I've come up with is that Kragarf will be the first boss.

Also this:

Kragarf walks around throwing bouncing spikeballs around the arena that stun Clam Thang whenever they hit the ground, which sounds a bit intimidating, but they can be easily avoided by hopping in the water surrounding the battle platform. Every once in a while he jumps and charges, and goes into "Electric Soldier Porygon" seizure mode whenever you jump on him.

Note that the walls bordering the platform have been raised slightly, because Kragarf decided that life wasn't worth living anymore and threw himself off the screen.

Started working on Kragarf's lair. There are statues bearing his likeness scattered across the place, and also water! Background is a placeholder until I draw something more like a sandy forest or something.

The statues are the most adorable.
