Skullgirls, oh my god you guys Skullgirls

So, l just got my hands on Skullgirls, and l've got to say, l'm pretty impressed.
I can't emphasize enough how good the game looks, and the learning curve is nowhere near as high as a Street Fighter. Still, l'm a little disappointed at how few original moves Double has. Also, Painwheel is top tier.

Actually, all of Double's moves are technically original, because all of her moves that transform her into different characters were intended to be given to the original characters, but eventually cut from the game. But yes, she has very few moves that are executed as herself.

I've always really hated that fighting game archetype. In this case it seems like a real waste of the most interesting character design in the game.

Her attacks may turn into other characters but the rest of her is possibly more animated than everyone else combined <3

May l also add that Ms. Fortune's mode of transport in the air is flying found on a stream of blood?

In her idle animation, Double is totally slipping a hand into her dress and rubbing...
And as a nun she looks kind of pregnant...
They couldn't have made this character any better for me.

After reading scythe's new Monster Party review, I realized that Filia & Samson make a reference to Kafka's Metamorphosis, with the "Gregor Samson" blockbuster. "Gregor Samson" takes on an insect-like appearance, and Samson will even occasionally shout "Metamorphosis" on startup.

The OST cover is pretty nifty

Nope, most of them are still in the game with the other characters.

I.E. Double's heavy punch may not be Cerebella's normal heavy punch but it is one of them, she has Filia's low heavy punch etc.

Peacock and Double are my favorites as far as the current lineup is concerned. As for DLC and concept art, there's far too many to count. Spiderlegs, Panzerfaust, Squiggly, Venus Lovelace, etc. I can only imagine how completely bonkers online play is going to get once the new characters get released.

I'd probably like Ms. Fortune more if she wasn't the character I have the most trouble fighting against. The fact that EVERY MOVE of hers is capped of with cat puns doesn't help.

Watching the playthroughs, almost all fighting games eventually pit you against a recolor of your own character and Skullgirls is no different, but in every story mode that's supposed to be double. She's the physical embodiment of a lazy fighting game trope that usually goes unexplained.
