Tumblr has a very complication relationship with political correctness. It's gotten to the level where users making fun of the general community for being absurdly correct is the cool thing now, and there are numerous memes on the subject.

But the outcry against Derpy Hooves has gained so much momentum that her voice has been retroactively changed.....to be like a dumb blonde.

I assumed this was common knowledge by now, but I suppose it was never mentioned in our pony thread.
Yes, they changed her voice, unscrewed her eyes, and removed the mention of her name because tumblr tightasses (and to a much lesser extent, parents) found it offensive.
Parents with slightly disabled or clumsy kids and those kids have found this offensive and cold. She's still in episodes as a 'where's waldo' running gag, nicely enough however.

Yeah a bunch of tumblrroids declared out of nowhere that "derpy" is a slur against the mentally handicapped and all "derpy" characters are cruel mockeries thereof.

Simple case of wrong image, as both orders are "whipscorpions". But the thing is, It very visibly lacks the "tail" they keep mentioning and Amblypygids have their own separate page later on. It actually does the same exact thing at another point when it gives an illustration for a harvestman on the page for cellar spiders.

If the book wasn't almost 500 pages long, I'd upload everything in it.

I mean, I am physically -able- to do it, I just don't want to because I'm a lazy sack. Not counting the TOC and index, 474 pages. I mean, want to and I probably should, especially considering how I am the only person in possession of this curious piece of literature, but it's not exactly taking a few more snapshots.

Quite the opposite in fact, you people make me feel more optimistic and light-hearted then anything.

I do have some pretty crappy books, mostly related to supernatural bullshit and topics hippies would be interested in. But I post enough crap anyway.

This is not the most lenient site in the world. I spent my first seven years of internet usage on an unmoderated forum made up almost entirely of characters like Tsar Nazi before all that racist shock humor started to get old. It also pre-dated 4chan!

It only finally died like a month ago.

That's actually pretty impressive.

I think I should upload a few of the good pages, since all I've been doing is showing the bad and inaccurate.

Anatomical inaccuracies aside, I am rather enjoying the colourful and imaginative illustrations this book has to offer.
