Here we have the 587th monarch of Atlantis, chillin' on his throne and waiting for lunch.

The colors are very interesting and fit well with the character. I also like the little spade-looking pendant with the rubies(?) on it. What does the pendant represent, if anything?

The medallion represents the six major territories of Atlantis during a golden age. There's three for the masses of seafloor they had claimed before they became aware of the land's riches, one for the Ivory Coast, another for what would eventually become Carthage, and the last for Egypt. They eventually lost the majority of their land in a series of rebellions, but held on to Egypt until it was captured by the Mameluke Caliphate. (EDIT) The gems are indeed rubies.

Also, the gems are arranged in a triangular pattern because "3" is an important concept to their mythology. (see the wall behind him)

Golgowold the Tower: King and protector of Myycosia, a small, infertile, unassuming nation of fungus, moss, and algae. Golgowold used to be a human mage interested in researching the boundaries between plants and animals, but had over time metamorphosed into this hulking monster as he exposed his body to more and more Planar energies of the Water, Earth and Body planes.

Anet (Left) is known as "He who runs from Himself", he is considered to be a patron god of defying Fate. Atot (Right) is known as "He who seeks to destroy Himself", and in seeking to destroy Anet (and himself by consequence) he is considered a patron god of Fate's inevitability.

Diothoth was a magically inclined cuttlefish who helped found Atlantis and served as it's first monarch. A little under a century later she was worshiped by Atlanteans as a goddess of politics and the tides.

Holds both honor and elegance; in bed and politics - mustached cuttlefish of Atlantis.

Beautiful.

Overall, I really like the small excerpts you give with every illustration, seemingly from vast histories of colourful legend.

Vampires, though supernaturally powerful, tend to meet grisly ends in Soia. This is because Soia is populated predominately by humans and demi-humans who tend to exaggerate recounted tales and spread baseless rumors and superstition. Vampires who inherit their condition through resurrection or through the blood their mother tend to fare a little better, having far less weaknesses and more control over their compulsions. "Born" vampires are just a minority however, everyone else has to put up with being ostracized, tortured and eventually killed for the crime of possibly being able to completely drain a human body of blood.

Above we have a random leather tanner, within an hour of being made the newest trophy of Sir Galvolao the Radiant.

While the hidden riches of Eldorado are certainly tempting, the price of taking a wrong turn has kept the legendary city completely untouched by colonization. Even the city's inhabitants haven't been seen or heard from in centuries. Those few that do return from exploring the Amazon depths tell horrific tales of subterranean monsters, savage cannibals and elaborate traps both mechanical and magical.

Chondriquartz are made by taking a young shark or ray and magically grafting large pieces of granite, marble or quartz into place before fusing the fish with a bull or bear. Chondriquartz require a sizable amount of magic to sustain for long periods of time, as their hearts are ill-suited to terrestrial life. Fortunately, the stones that cover them are more than capable of siphoning ambient magic and converting it into kinetic energy to simulate a heartbeat, so long as they are able to keep moving.

Whenever I get art-block, I draw a comic starring myself and my old imaginary friend, Lefty. (I don't know why his name was Lefty, he wasn't even left-handed.)

And here we have the Well of Foresight! It is said that a single sip from this fountain's waters will grant the drinker a vision of their death; though the vision changes with each new drink. The people of nearby villages tell a tale of an elven explorer who found the well. Supposedly he stayed by the fountain's edge for over 20 years, desperate to avoid one tragedy or another. After 24 years he had his final epiphany: the well showed him old and frail, tripping on a fallen branch and drowning in the shallow water surrounding the well. He left for his homeland the next day.

Modern Atlanteans like to claim that they control the entire Atlantic ocean, though that's basically just exaggeration as they only have 3 major cities like this one and a few scattered islands. The entire national coastline of Atlantis is estimated to only be about 500-600 km long depending on the tides.
