A new Myrmidon hive colonizing land that's already inhabited by humans, a race they've never even imagined as possible.
In the background: "Don't cry, I'm not scary!"
"Dude, you're making it worse, just shut up."

This is a Lixntix worker, she works carrying supplies from the surface down to the center of the Hive. Unlike normal, Earthy ants, all Lixntix and Myrmidons are fully capable of decision making, long-term planning and even sentimental attachment. Though to keep from humanizing them too much over half of their communication is through controlled bursts of pheromones and antennae placement- rather than tone of voice and turns of phrase; making any conversation appear to be monotone and informative, even as both parties attempt to lighten the others boring mood. (Because Comedy.)
