I just finished Ghidorah the three headed monster. I have not see it for at least a few years.

Overall it its a fun movie to wacht. In the beginning of the movie rodan did godzilla's roar.

My only complaint is that the Shinobjin "translate" the kaiju's roaring at each other. On the other hand this dose led to my favorite line of the movie "Oh godzilla what terrible language."

Just rewatched all three current Riddick films.

Pitch Black had a fun survivor concept, an interesting group of characters that play off eachother, Vin Diesal in a badass but not over-the-top role, a good amount of suspense, and crazy cool monsters.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury was just plain animated insanity. It's a fun film about some action scenes and nice visuals, but not much else.

The Chronicles of Riddick is, honestly, my most favorite film of the series. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Its main protagonist is unbelievably badass and the film itself is overstuffed with action adventure cliches, but I love it that way. Who can resist the "death by tea cup" scene?

I like the unexplained tentacles those two... Uh... Fuck, robots maybe? Whatever. They were fighting some random giant tentacles.

I don't think THE PLAAAAAAAAAAAGUE are robots. Cyborgs, maybe, but probably not. They're simply THE PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGUE.

Hobo with a shotgun also owns because of how completely sincere it is. They could have easily played the whole premise for laughs or for irony but they don't, the whole thing is played straight, it's magical. Also there's some lovely visuals as well, the opening shots with the hobo on the train are gorgeous and the hospital fight scene is really striking.

Bogleech is the cool place to hang out. You can find most of the cool people there. In Bogleech you can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the Bogleech motto, for example, that's how laid back it is there. Show up if you want to have a good time. Another good reason to show up is if you want to hang out with friends.

I like not knowing, they're much more mysterious that way. But if I must guess based on their name, those suits are filled with an intelligent plague strain which move them around from within.

Saw the Avengers. It was pretty awesome, I'm glad I saw it in theaters while I had the chance. Not much else I can say without spoilers.

Pan's Labyrinth has been out for a while, but I've only recently gotten around to seeing it. And thank god for that.
Imagine if you took Alice and Wonderland, SuckerPunch, Robert Morgan's stuff, sprinkle on a bit of Spiderwick Chronicles and wartime dramas, drop them into a blender made of Charles Manson's solidified mind and there you have it.
Needless to say, I loved it.

Forbidden Planet.

first off,
ALTA'S A SLUT.

Also, nothing about the Planet was "forbidden", I was hoping for some kind of extraterrestrial conspiracy trying to keep them away, which I guess is what they were trying to insinuate, maybe.

But overall, a good movie. A bit long in parts, and needs better editing to get rid of boring sections, but a rather nice movie overall.

Next time I watch it with a drinking game: take a drink everytime someone says "aye aye sir", finish it if it's "aye aye captain" or "aye aye skipper".

Oh man I love that movie!

Two things.

1. It's VERY LOOSELY based on Shakespeare's The Tempest, so the idea behind Altaira is less that she's a slut, and more that she's innocent. Thanks to having no one to interact with besides her dad and their totally awesome robot butler, she possesses about as much awareness about sexuality as your average mid-twentieth century sitcom. She doesn't know any better, and the crewman who meets her takes advantage of that to trick her into making out with him.

2. I first watched it when I was either five or six, and because of that for a long time I had issues with repetitive thumping noises.

OK, three things.
3. I'm pretty sure using those rules for a drinking game would kill you.

I had no idea about The Tempest, that's pretty cool. And, I feel like her dad at some point would have taught her "so these are the right and wrong ways to meet people" or something. Especially since he's totally aware that she's making out with everyone, and DOESN'T DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT. I guess it's his fault, mainly, but yeah.

...So did the Tempest end with the guy's monsters of the id also? wink.gif
