I imagine eating a spider is a bit like eating salt and pepper shrimp. Once you get past the chithin, I'm sure there's a tender succulent property to it.

Not entirely sure why, but it was mostly a gut feeling. I like spiders, naturally, but there's also something a bit more sympathetic about snakes since they have slightly more in common with us (two eyes and a mouth that doesn't have extra appendages).

Also Ragspaper's reason is probably a factor too. I do definitely go OH MAN A SNAKE whenever I see one.

I think all snakes are adorable.
Unless they're venomous, in which case their eyes are slits and not round, and they are not nearly as cute.

Snakes are still awesome, though.

Snakes can inject venom from birth, as they need it to obtain their first meals. Neonates are actually more dangerous then adults, because they have not yet gained proper control over their venom glands and inject all of their venom at once.

Snakes for me mostly becuse they remind me of Caecilians and lampreys my 2nt and 3rd fave animals. number 1 on my list are tailless whip scorpions.
