Bogrim, Elder Scrolls general topic

I've never had much trouble with MMOs, but I've been fairly spoiled in my experiences with them (I've been pretty lucky about finding supportive, casual guilds). However, once it becomes less about fun and more about gaining members and doing things that the top guilds do (and it always does, at least in WOW) the guild will implement a bunch of stupid qualifications for entrance to attract "hard-core competitives" (mostly douchbags who think they're the only ones who know who to play). This results in either a population explosion of WOW snobs or the slow bleeding death of the guild due to the idiotic qualifications. And being without a guild after relying on one for a while is a drawback, especially in a low-population server. So bottom line: I'm not excited about the MMO Elder Scrolls. I don't hate the idea, no great wailings and gnashings of teeth or anything, just meh about it. If its guild system winds up like all the others it's gonna have to really break the mold for me to give it a try. I really don't like having to wait around to do a quest no matter how fun it may actually turn out to be, especially with the knowledge that the main system to circumvent that annoyance is to be judged by some douche who takes the game way to seriously.

Also my skyrim character is a berserker-argonian who joins every guild and does their quests in the way that is the furthest from that particular guild's methods.

What wont let you? I'm assuming that you mean the forum because we've had a surprising amount of newer members who thought that was how it worked.
Use tinypic or imgur or some other such site to upload and host images - you copy and paste the IMG code from there into your post.

Just found this at the beginning of this thread, and I hafta ask, why are there not any games (Elder Scrolls or otherwise) that let you focus on truly weird magic? In a world with freaking MAGIC you know there's some awesome weirdo who specializes in nothing but Bee Magic (and there is one guy with a thing for skeevers), so why are we only given "You can shoot them with fire, ice or lightning"? Why not bees? Or maggots? Or spells that warp the enemy into a horrible abomination? The role of wizard is already distrusted because they "bend the rules of nature and physics," so so why isn't there an option for a character, in any game, to say "Screw it! I say let there be centipedes! Centipedes everywhere!"
