The way that lets that one work as 001 is that that monster, otherwise mundane in the face of all the later SCPs, was simply the first one they found and it was just a thing and that was that. Also see Dr. Hermann Keter in that article, whose untimely death led to the category of SCPs bearing his name. --------------------  "Tentacle rape is such an otherworldy outlandish experience that it is something more akin to a dream. I'm not entirely sure how [DATE EXPUNGED] is supposed to be used but I think it fits better than at least one of the [REDACTED]s.

Its rating was +4 when I first read it, now it's +24. Seems like a lot of people agree.
