I was thinking about modifying a Corrodestool so I can replace his rust causing abilities with fire causing abilities.

Any alchemist with an Abiozoa or Biomecha will freak it out when they see it and turn into a Genezoa only to take SUPER EFFECTIVE FIRE DAMAGE.

It would be extremely situational but it would be funny if it worked.

Actually, that creates another good question: As Alchemists, we can permanently chancge a monster's Class, can we permanently change the Damage Type of one of its attacks?

Good grief is this sub-forum dead.

I posit a question:

Since The Bio-Mechs are partially machine, and Abiozoa Bioconstructs are only partially organic, do these two Monster Types possess similar Game Mechanics?

It seems about as active as any other board around here.

It's easily four times busier than I expected. I didn't think it'd have any steady activity, just be a "holding place" for a couple relevant threads.

But yes, any monster with inorganic components is weak to "corrosion" damage and strong against diseases, I think.

On another note, how many 'parts' of other monsters can one monster take?
Or does it vary between species and types and whatnot?

I'd imagine you'd be able to graft as much shit on as you want, but with drawbacks in other stats and areas.

I think on facebook they said that at some point your monster's DNA would start degrading and if you weren't careful your attachments had a achance to just reduce it to mush when you added something new.
So it's like, do you wanna add another part and risk your beatiful creation splattering the walls or are you gonna accept this the way it is.

But that's only what I got out of it, and I could be wrong.

The answer's midway. There is an upper limit on a monster's Parts, but fewer Parts, while conferring fewer hitpoints and fewer abilities, do make a monster more stable, so you don't have a creature that's half goop.

Can't reveal more than that at the moment, I'm afraid!

I got time for a quick introspective journey into the center of JOKERS

LET'S GET CRAZY

Jokers are the best monster class. Why? Their native ability. Jokers roll on a table at the beginning of combat to see what particular pathology they are obeying this time around. Examples range from believing themselves to be a supervillain to being under the mistaken impression that they have suddenly become a tree, to being firmly convinced they are on a sweet ass boat, or suddenly thinking that they are being chased by a pack of dogs.

These delusions change their stats, abilities, and sometimes even their resistances and weaknesses!

So that's fun.

WHAT ELSE DADDY-O

Stop calling me that.

Jokers are powerful opponents! They are a lot like Botanicals, in that they have a huge range of monster types ranging from physical tanks to psionic bosses. However, Jokers do have a firm lean towards using Acid and Psionics based attacks- driving people crazy and using chemicals are their two favorite pasttimes!

As for Resistances, well, Jokers are... unusual. Best to say that Jokers rely more on offense than defense (just to be a tease and not tell you more than that).

HOW AM I GONNA MAKE ME SOME OF DESE SWEET ASS CLOWNS

Simple! Jokers, despite their odd reproduction style, have proven no more difficult than Bioconstructs to make. So that's good! You just get their DNA and you're good to start making them!

OH SHIT JEEVES INFO ON YOUR STARTER?!?

So I am proud to announce that your starter is NOT going to be limited by character class. We have a few ideas in place that means you can choose a huge range of starters. Have fun, kids! biggrin.gif
