Hello, all! I'm Jacob Cales, one-third of Cat Powered Raygun Studios. We here at CPR Studios have had an absolute blast while working on this project, and we've decided to open up a spot on these forums here to discuss the game.

So. I'm open to any and all questions! Fire away! I'll return to this thread at least once daily, most likely late at night, so don't despair; all questions shall be answered!

I'm just surprised how fast this has gone in production. I mean, it's only been what? A week. You guys work fast!

Hello Mr. Cales, thank you for taking the time to answer some of our questions. I won't ask you to give away too much about the game system, but I would like to know a few things about the character generation process.

Will characters be divided into specific categories, have a set of abilities to choose from, follow a purely stat-based system or follow some other order I haven't listed?

Also, since the Mortasheen monsters are obviously going to be a big part of the game, could you shed some light on what hierarchy the monsters fall into, and what options a character will have in selecting a team?

Xolta: We are shooting for a release date of May, but may be pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances.

Leader: That we could make a ton of money off of a really excellent setting. Seriously, Mortasheen is incredible, and I'm just glad that Mr. Wocjik is allowing us to do this.

Veninax: Exactly!

Rasec: You have no idea. This project has been a BLAST. Seriously, I've had more fun writing this book- all hundred plus pages of it, not counting the appendixes- than I've had on almost any other project. There's a metric ton of good ideas in Mr. Wocjik's head and it was a pleasure to put them to paper.

Jesus Lizard: We've actually been hoping to avert the "best monster" problem. For one thing, you can take Parts off of other monsters and apply them to your own. See a monster with a cool ability you like? Nab its Genome and clone the part!

Further, you can increase your monster's raw statistics with additions in the Lair (your mad laboratory is a big part of gameplay even before it gets legs and walks- that's not metaphorical, by the way).

So no matter your favorite, you can make it awesome

As for my own personal favorite, Fangatan is probably my favorite monster, followed by Insanititter, and then loosely followed by Necromon. I love Fangatan's combination of gentleness, musical beatdowns, and general badassery, Insanititter is just a hilariously awesome concept, and Necromon- as the prototypical "legendary" monster- is just awesome.

Veninax: Oh, we've been working on this since last year. We've actually had everything- the teaser comics, the reveal, etc.- planned since... Halloween of last year? And development on the game was going on way before that. So we've been at this a while... in SECRET.

I'm even more excited now than I was when we heard of the initial release...

Is there a set price as of now? I'm certainly going to purchase it, but I just want to know how much I'm going to need.
