Zelda Monsters

Didn't think there was a thread about this. If I was mistaken, sorry.

So, Zelda, anyone else play it? Zelda may be my favorite game series right now. Anyway, always has loads of monsters. So what are some of your favorites?



(Majora)
Titular villain of Majora's Mask, Majora was living mask who turns into the freakiest, skinless freak to ever grace the series, sporting tentacles in two of his three forms, and prancing around like a circus freak in the other one:

(Chu Chu)
The Chu Chu, as it appears in The Wind Waker, is just the freaking cutest creature to ever exist, and it's a favorite of mine from all of monster-dom. All prior or later incarnations of the Chu Chu blow compared to this version.

(Twilit Bloat)
Not a favorite of mine, but I think you guys would like this guy. Bloat is a bigger, badder version of the normal Shadow Insects which steal the light from the Light Spirits and cover the areas in darkness in Twilight Princess. It is Bloat who carries the last bit of the light, as a final ditch effort to stop you from restoring light to the final area covered in darkness.

(Gomess)
In the Stone Tower Temple of Majora's Mask, Gomess was a completely insignificant but completely awesome mini-boss. Basically a freaky-eyed grim reaper with bats covering his body.

(Death Sword)
My personal favorite mini-boss from any game, the Death Sword appears as a sword covered in ropes and paper seals:

Once the ropes are cut, the sword floats freely and swings at you. Turning into a wolf and using your senses reveals it's true form, a creepy ghost wielding the sword:

Bongo Bongo is fought from on top of a giant bongo drum on which he plays. Notice he's basically a beheaded man where the next becomes a giant eye? Same thing happens to his hands (sans eyes). He's the boss of the Shadow Temple from Ocarina of Time.

Mini-boss of the Shadow Temple and also the Bottom of the Well in the same game is the super freaky Dead Hand:

And last of all, the Imp Poe, freaky cute little doll people who hold pieces of an NPC's SOUL.

My favoritest

In their first-ever 3-d appearance (the DS game) their underside is apparently one big, lamprey-like mouth!

THough not technically a monster, I still love the whole design of the evil moon
It is genuinely creepy, probably the most creepy thing ever marketed to children.

BARINADE!

The boss of Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly, a parasitic monster that shoots lightning and commands floating, electrical jellyfish. After you cut him loose from Jabu-Jabu's innards, he starts spinning around, swinging his symbiotic jellyfish friends at you on electrical tethers.

He's probably one of the most out of place monsters in Ocarina of Time, but that's what makes him awesome.

Wallmaster!
Floormaster!

Wallmasters were just one of the many nightmares that OoT flung upon us. They were around before, they've been around since, but no other incarnation competes with this incarnation. Notable in that they were rarely an actual threat. If they landed on Link, they would drag him up into the ceiling, and drop him at the beginning of the room with meager damage dealt.

Floormasters were similar to Wallmasters, in earlier games. They couldn't climb ceilings, thankfully, but they could actually chase you down. And if you hurt them enough, they'd split into three smaller Floormasters with the single intent to strangle Link.




ReDeads. If you've played OoT, you probably still have nightmares about them annually, so maybe a description isn't warranted.

If you haven't played OoT, they're a bit like zombies in that they're slow moving, emaciated corpses with a single-minded drive to eat you. Unlike most zombies, they'll let out a blood-curdling scream to freeze you in place, so they can then hump you to death. It's worse than it sounds, trust me.

Aliens!

The creepy Beamos from the 64 titles

The Diabolical Cubus Sisters. You have to "save" them at first, and they give you bad advice.

Bellum!

Ultra Lord Death Bug, from Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. He seems to have a human face.

Wizzrobes, like a lot of enemies, changed drastically between games. I like the toucan variety.

Well, it's simple, just find an image you like and right click it. Then select copy image adress, come back to the site and type in [ I M G ] (minus the spaces), paste the image address, then end with [ / I M G ] (no spaces)

There's also an "IMG" button right above the typing space when you're making a post. You can just click that and enter the URL.

It's the same for nearly all webforums on the internet, except those weird ones who still use the HTML codes or have their own original code.

And Twilight Princess has some awesome bosses, and even if they aren't very hard they are very nicely designed.
