The only point of this entire discussion from page one is entertainment, I don't think anyone is really trying to insult you in any way.
Starting lengthy discussions over not really important subjects (as the fact that you sign your posts) is an usual practice here because, you know, this is a forum, and a rather entertaining one in my opinion.

Rassec may make some spelling goofs, but at least he seems like an actual person. You're just a weird gimmicky internet persona. You'd be much more tolerable if you dropped this condescending, passive-aggressive, pretentious attitude you've got going on.

You are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean you can't rationalize it at all. Maybe you should try to explain why you think it invokes Lovecraft or Giger? A lot of people don't like it words like "lovecraftian" are tossed around as a meaningless buzzword.

That presentation is still present as the topic subject, and plastered to the subject bar. If you present it as such, you should have understood that people would be judging the work based on that presentation. Further, you have not elaborated on why it should be seen as such, and your argument for why it should can be boiled down to "I think the influence is present, and I have an opinion that should be respected". If you don't give a solid, explained reason for why we should agree with you, why would we? The fact that you've acted quite childishly and condescendingly towards this entire issue doesn't exactly help matters either.

But oh well, at least you're not coming back in here and everyone can get back to enjoying the arts.

You did, but your opinions seemed baseless and you only gave subjective evidence as to why you had a valid point of view.

Also, what language would you prefer we speak in? I can see that it's hard for you to comprehend good, clean English because that second sentence HAS NO SUBJECT.

He never compared them to the artists, he said that IF he drew in a style evocative of those artists then it was because someone paid him too. But most of his post was giving objective reasons why his art had no substantive resemblance to the artists you were referencing. You then misquoted him and acted like he agreed with you.

Seriously, what language would you prefer we speak to you in? Not everyone understands when to capitalize words, but there's no reason for you to reveal to everyone that you are incapable of comprehending English, we have quite a few multilingual members, we'll find someone who can translate for you.

On a more serious note, the art looks really cool, even if it's only slightly Gigeresque.

If that were really true, you wouldn't have made this post.

And yes, you are ill informed. Not only have you never once said anything to justify why you would think this art comparable to Lovecraft, Poe, or Giger, but you criticize Rasec Wizzlbang's spelling when your own posts are full of seemingly random capitalization (and not free of misspellings either -- it's "sandwich", not "sandwhich").

Simply put, you are a hypocrite and a bully, and every post you make in this thread makes that more clear.

Huh. Okay, we've pretty much exhausted that discussion.

I do enjoy Feng Zhu's work; much of it is what I'd call impressionistic, but that can often be a boon to artwork as it allows for a greater focus on composition and atmosphere. Many of the scene paintings would have required hundreds of hours to illustrate in detail, yet still give the impression of vast and complex forms with relatively simple shapes. It's the sign of a truly talented artist.

It is also an invaluable skill for anyone who does concept art.

He was the guy who gave the nudge that led to Starscream in the TF movies to look the way he did.
