So I was dabbling in the seemingly bottomless pools of my memory, when an image that hadn't crossed my mind in a very long time flashed across my consciousness.

This image rocked my nostalgia gland, sending me into a frenzy of mad delight at the beauty that I had once seen and loved.
Long, long ago, when Cartoon Network had a segment of anime shows called
Toonami, it played a four part mini series called
Blue Submarine No.6.Based in the near future, a psychotic scientist has flooded the entire planet, released genetically altered mutants, and pushed humanity to the brink of extinction in a long and awesome war.

The monsters.
First up, the
Musuca
At first glance, what appears to be a massive underwater vehicle is actualy a massive whale like monster, with psychic powers, and some insane tactical maneuvers.
Fun design.
But not as fun a design as
Verg
This monstrous shark hybrid is jawsome to an extreme.
Owning a child like mentality, Verg is completely dedicated to the task of eleminating all of humanity from the face of the planet.
Violent, cruel, and unpredictable, he lashes out at other members of his naval forces in random fits of homicidal rage.
His sole purpose in life is to make his "papa" proud.
These little beauties don't seem to have names.

But do they need a name?
Really?
Look at those sweet faces, try to say you didn't go "daw!"
Seemingly hybrids of human, seal, squid, and fish DNA, these little weirdos are the main pawns and foot soldiers of Zorndyke's (evil scientist) forces.
They can be seen piloting motherfucking
robot lobsters the size of a house, which can fire off multiple cheap and fun attacks.
The only one that has to do with the story is a genetic variant wth red eyes named Mutio.
She is saved by the main protagonist and later returns the favor by saving and feeding him.
Not sure how to end this, just talk about the series and let it fall back and be forgotten or something.
