I just discovered this strip a day ago, and it is awesome. It's about a party of monsters, including the absurdly competent Gelatinous Cube, the charismatic and funny Mimic, and the INCREDIBLY ADORABLE titular rust monster Rusty, who's dialogue consists of his attempts to eat everything metal in sight. The squishy humanoid supporting cast is great too, especially the punk-ish take-no-prisoners princess.

The storylines are quite fun too. I was going to say that the main flaw of the series was that the villains aren't that memorable, but that was before I started reading the story with the ILLITHID MAFIA! Yes. So, I recommend you give this a read.

Yeah, that was the one I laughed the hardest at too. A close second is the one about how templates also apply to microbes, and ends with a speech bubble coming out of a microscope containing the words "Ia! Ia! E. Coli fhtagn!!!"

Also, is anyone else reminded of the Cirbozoids of "Starslip" in the way Rusty's face is drawn?
