I like animalistic non-humanoids with human or near-human faces.

One thing that for some reason sticks out here though is animals based on vehicles, especially construction vehicles or flying saucers.

Only thing along those lines I can think of at the moment is that DeviantArt loony with the psychotic obsession with his(?) race of giant roller coaster/lizard/centipede things.

Well, that and some species of Pokèmon.

There aren't too many I can think of myself, but they're some of my favorites where they exist. Although maybe "animal" is less accurate than just "enemies;" these guys tend to show up in more lighthearted cartoony things like Kirby and my own Cauldron series. The things I had in mind I actually think were from kirby but I had this really cool mental image of like this big bony chitinous bulldozer-behemoth that I'm fairly certain does not exist.

Not certain it even qualifies as a monster but I always liked Capsule J2 from SUperstar.

It's a her, actually.

Also this "loony" has a self-published novel about her roller coaster character, so you can't say they aren't driven at least.

I don't think it's a sexual thing, I think they just like anthropomorphic roller coasters a lot.

I read pretty far into that book before it finally broke me and I had to give up.

There's a scene where the main character rides around on this huge, impossible roller coaster track.

While there's nothing explicitly sexual about it, it gives off a very strong fetishistic vibe...

I dunno man. Most people who are only in it for the sex don't ever actually complete their imagined mechano-furry novels, in my experience.

Nah you guys don't really have the right thing in mind; I'm thinking organic forms that mimic vehicles or machines. Far as I know whoever said was in fact right that mosrtly they appear in Pokemon. I have a fair few in Cauldron but I'm thinking not to count my own designs, pfft.

It sounds like the Gnomes book crossed with a bad fever dream.
