Yeah, this thread is exactly what it says on the tin, talking about Videogame Movies you'd love to see in an ideal world.

Specifically, in a world where Hollywood big-wigs actually cared about being faithful to the source material instead of stripping it of everything that made it unique to get a larger audience (Which ironically alienates a good chunk of the potential audience and just makes it into another generic piece of schlock to another chunk).

So, let me start this topic off by saying that I'd love to see an Earthbound Zero/Mother movie made in the style of "If Frank Capra made a 1950s B Movie". Somehow that seems like it'd suit the source material.

Assassins Creed. I know, it's already pretty much a movie and all that, but I think it's a very interesting story that people who don't like games should be able to enjoy too.

No more heroes I just like to see if the crazy awesomeness translated welll to a on interactive media.

Team Fortress 2, if it was basically just a full-length Meet the Team trailer, made in Source Filmmaker with all the original voice actors and exclusive Valve involvement.

games like Kabuki Quantum Fighter, Bio Force Ape, Startropics and Shatterhand would make amazing cheesy movies. ESPECIALLY Kabuki Quantum Fighter...

You know, I'd actually watch that. But I'd think that Nic Cage should be the star instead of Dicaprio. Because you can't have a good big-budget Hollywood B-Movie nowadays without Nicholas Cage

I guess I'd still like to see a Mortal Kombat film where they actually put effort into the actual fights. I like martial arts films to begin with, but neither MK or any other fighting game turned movie has ever had decent fights. I don't care about no stinking plot nor dialogue. Just make the fights awesome. I've seen the Legacy series and even though the Sub-Zero vs Scorpion episodes were good, they weren't great. It's not even wirefu that bothers me, because I'm not opposed to that when it's done well, but they all seem so poorly choreographed. I can go through tons of movies with awesome fights, yet somehow they always seem to focus on everything else but when it comes to fighting game movies.
