I'm going to say I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. I don't care much for his remakes and "re-imaginings," but this is also a remake of his own movie. The way I see it, it could be alright, or it could just be mediocre and forgettable (well...forgettable for most people, anyway).

Here's the newest trailer done in a style reminiscent of old horror B-movie trailers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u-_ZpbdWQs

AWESOME!! biggrin.gif

Also, here's the previously released second trailer, for anyone who missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hf34NO9Jv0

And anyway... Hopefully 2012 will be the year that Tim Burton's decade-plus streak of mediocre direction will end. I'm not really looking forward to Dark Shadows, but this might turn out well.

The original Frankenweenie short film was live-action. Krader probably isn't old enough to have been an extra in that, but you never know.

He could have been a background voice in the stop-motion one, too.

You're an extra in Frankenweeneie?

Yes. He's an extra in a stop-motion animation.

I assume you mean The Iceman, not Iceman.
Krader Posted on Mar 3 2012, 05:45 PM
  It was called Iceman.
Anyway, back on topic, it looks good, but I hope it doesn't stray too far from the original.
