The Seattle Central Library is an amazing eleven-story high structure made of glass and steel. The 362,987 sq ft building is capable of holding up to 1.45 million books and other materials. It also features an underground parking lot for 143 vehicles, and 400 public-use computers.

Pike Place Market
A public market overlooking the Elliot Bay waterfront, it is one of the oldest continually-operated public farmers' market in the country. A popular tourist's destination, it features business by many small farmers, craftspeople, and merchants. With several levels, it offers a variety of businesses, including: antique dealers, comic book sellers, family-owned restaurants, fishmongers, fresh produce stands, and craft stalls. The Market also offers living in 8 different buildings for nearly 500 low-income residents.

University Village
University Village is more or less a hybrid of a shopping district and downtown area for the University District. With well-known and privately owned shops, restaurants, and hang-outs alike, it's a nice place to retreat for students troubling over studies.
