Okay, so the deal is that Kaiser, or Kai (and never erik or mainard)
is twenty three years old, full blooded german, but was born in the
US, a few years before his sister, Amelie. Aside from being a volu
nteer at the rehab, he is a student in NAU, majoring in math. He j

r her sister was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He's got a big hear
t for a kid his type, loves to help people, generous and patient, tho
ugh at times too irrational. He's been keeping his record clean aft
er Amelie's death, and hasn't been sidetracked for a few years. So

“As far as the volunteers go, Kaiser is my favorite one. While I hate being in this place, this prison, he makes it a little better. What’s weird is that I don’t think we would ever have met if I wasn’t, you know, crazy… The thing is we’re decent friends. I hate talking about my “problems” but it’s a little better with him than with the other counselor. I feel like I can open up and tell him almost anything. almost. I could never tell him that I think, I mean, I know I feel something for him. Something more. As big, bold, and brave as I try to make myself feel, I’m insanely self-conscious and I could never say anything concerning how I really feel for him. The truth is, though, that I want him so badly and I’d do anything for him. Honestly, I’d recover , or at least give it a real try, if it meant we could be together.”

“well, luca has always been a good... person. she has been the friendliest patient around, and in my opinion, she's been mostly open to me. more than i would've expected, actually. and i appreciate it because i've been trying and she's helping me out. and in the same way as she talks to me comfortably, i talk to her in the same level of confidence too. she's always been all ears, and i've always been pushing my schedule off for her. i dunno. the resident psychiatrist told me i should do that since i've been helping a lot. apparently. which makes me feel good, cause it means i've been doing my job correctly. lately, i've been feeling different towards her. it started when awkward silences occured, which was never suppose to happen, nor did it happen before but it did now. i'm a man. i understand things, and hell if i sound obnoxious, but she's acting different, you know... more than friendly different. and it got me looking at her in a different light. and she is kind of pretty... and nice. i'm not suppose to act until after she's been release, so whatever feelings i might have, i must put it on hold.”
