The first Subspecies I saw. Bought the VHS years back with OBLIVION.

Spoiler

I didn't like how they killed off Stefan in the very beginning of the movie. They need to resurrect him in a future sequel.

Or buy the box set with all 4 films, and Vampire Journals from fullmoondirect.com. Finding the VHS of Subspecies 2 would be cheaper than the DVD box set though. wink.gif

I actually enjoy watching II & III back to back over the original anyday for some reason.

I remember I had the poster for this and wound up messing it up due to be me being a little kid.

Yeah, they go hand in hand. Part 3 picks up right where two left off.

Subspecies 3 happens to be the one I watch most right now.

same here. the 4th one just doesn't feel right to me. it's an alright film. buut if they don't make a 5th film than i can live with how pt. 4 ended ya know? maybe that's just me? anywys one mistake THAT they made was killing off her sister & her bf. it's NOT like they really were doing anything special ya know? least to my knowledge. IF those actors weren't able to do the films than just fucking replace them ya know? they did already when they put "Denice Duff" in the series ya know? & her performace i think is better in pt. 3 & 4 than in pt. 2. or is that just me as well?

Why was Michelle played by a different actress in 2-4? Not that it bothers me, but I kind of hate it when they get people to play a role started up by someone else in a previous film.

Not sure. Laura Tate probably turned it down or they cast Denice Duff without asking Tate to return (I think Tate is now a dancer).

I thought this was the best of the sequels. It just had a really great story that did not sway the tone of the movie. I particularly liked the scenes where Michelle is trying to come to terms with being a vampire.

Even though Laura Tate was replaced by Denise Duff, it didn't seem to matter, and I think Denise did a much better job. Subspecies 3 was kinda silly with the whole attack on Radu's castle idea.

I see they've re-released these on DVD. But the cases have pictures that resemble the Twilight cast.

But why? biggrin.gif
