Original story. Directed by Band. Picked it up at the 2009 FM Road Show; Houston.

Story centers around the "Arkoff" family. Anyone know if this is a tribute of sorts to Sameul Z. Arkoff? Mostly know for his job as a producer of Hollywood films. Had his name on some good ones. And some not so good. Passed away in 2001.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0035098/

Also, read on IMDB this short review. Credit has been given to a "reviewer in France." Goes like this; "Instead of watching this try blowing yourself." Funny, but the comment don't reflect my opinion of the film; I liked it.

My Reply:

First off, you appear new, so welcome.

This would be the third post that I read in which you stated that this film was "horrible" or that it "sucked". Can I assume you didn't like it then?

Oh, except for the Skull Heads, and Robin (the two best ingredients of the movie ----- of course).

Funny......

I really didn't like this either. I thought it was just...bad. It felt empty, nothing really happens, not memorable, nothing new.

You're welcome!

I didn't know about UHM. Checked out / bookmarked. Thanks for mentioning.

PS: And yeah, this site is tight. Designed real well -- easy to use / get around -- I like the "My Assistant" feature - plus cool and knowledgeable Band / Full Moon fans (and just movie fans in general).

My experience is that without a good moderator holding things together, most of these discussion groups fall apart / go to hell after a while.

To answer your question Magicballs, Yes. Besides those 2, I didnt like the movie. I felt they should of let the Skull Heads kill the 2 robbers........not the brother and sister in the Arkoff family.....it just seems out of place. The ending was stupid, the guy clearly escaped and practically let Robin Sydney grab him...........there is no common sense in that.

I had no idea.....oops. A Dead Head to me is a fan of the Grateful Dead. Feel free to delete this...or keep it up. I did do a search for "Skull Heads". Explains that.

I can see where your re-imagining of the story, makes sense. The Skull Heads are there to protect the castle / The Arkoffs. So yes, it would have been along the storyline if the Skull Heads did the actual killing, instead of the now raised from the dead couple.

Story was good in regards to Robins character. Nice to see her change as the movie progresses. The ending surprised me. Like the majority of the FM films, I don't really question to much what appears on the screen. It is, what it is. I see your point. Good comment / reply, and now understand your past posts (it sucked) a little better. Your problem is more with the story. Understood.

Talk about your disfunctional families, eh? I thought that SKULL HEADS was really quite good! Atmospheric. The puppets were used sparingly, leaving us wanting more and Robyn Sidney took her top off! What's not to like? Heh-heh-heh!

Skullheads was to boring for me. The charectars werent interesting enough with all the talking they did. Sydney taking her top off was the highlight. The end was pretty lame and it felt really tacked on.

This movie was okay. Didn't mind seeing Robin doing some nudity. The Arkoffs were interesting and the Skullheads weren't too bad. Feel like the Skullheads needed more screen time. The ending was weak and sort of ruins the movie a little.

I got a mold recently for a Dia de los Muertos skull and it's the same mold used to create the Skull Heads... skull heads. Gage Munster (special fx person) couldn't even make his own damn mold for the puppets. I should make some SH reps and see if Bandy will want to sell them for ungodly amounts of hard earned money.

Haha, that is awesome. I can see the similarities with Dia de los Muertos for sure! While you're at it, how about a Gingerdead Man Rep as well!

I didn't think that. My opinion was that it was a good flick, over all.

I dunno, just the way the ending came off to me seemed abrupt and like more should've happened. Still a decent flick overall for sure.

I've do a variation on the Gingerdead Man character of mine own, to avoid any trouble, and I'm still thinking about it. Casting some skulls today.

This one could have been so good. The Skull Heads themselves are awesome but they are barely in it and there are no likable characters. I think this one has the same problem a lot of the newer ones have - they don't know wether they want to play it serious or be silly so it becomes an odd mixture of both.
A bit bigger budget and a rewrite and this could have been a good franchise.
