I'm looking ahead to the new one, out this May. I am a fan of every one of these games. Unfortunately, the bigger horror gaming franchises like Silent Hill have left Alone in the Dark, pretty much sealed in the dark.

My favourite part in the series is when you board the pirate ship in the second one and fight One Eyed Jack. smile.gif

You should download the first game from Abandonia.

In May, game.co.uk are releasing a package with the new game, a making of feature, a figure of Carnby and some book with concept art.

Does anyone have the mini flashlight that came with The New Nightmare?

Yeah. There's zombies in the first one, and they crop up a lot during The New Nightmare. The second game is about pirate gangsters. But in the older games, you often have to avoid certain enemies. Like when you go in the ballroom in the mansion, the dancing ghosts will form a deadly twister that will follow you if you disturb them.

Not really. It's also very complicated. The PS2 version has loads of glitches, which were reportedly fixed in the PS3 version! unsure.gif

oh, well i don't have a PS3 yet. they are just too damn expensive for my taste.
maybe at some point i'll buy one perhaps used. buut at the moment they are just to damn much. & NOT worth it. no game system is worth $300 bucks.

or $400 Bucks. i'm not saying the system is shitty. cuz i don't think it is. none of the PS systems are shitty. it's just the price is just plain fucking HORRIBLE!

& that goes for the price on the Wii which has gone down granted i'll give you that. buut it's STILL too high for my taste as well. the newest sy system i bought around X-mas time is the DSi hand held game system well obviosuly. anyways, that's a good one. i'm STILL having to get used to the Sty's in on that system to be honest. what can i say i'm old fashioned i like the controller

on the old game boy's & the other nintendo systems as well. the controller's. i've never played the Wii before i just think that when you play it

it kinda makes you look like you are jacking off. buut what do i know ya know? i've also heard it's over-rated as well. & that it's a good system. soo

it kinda goes both ways on the Wii. ya know?

I liked how the first one was set in a house, like the original Resident Evil game was also in a zombie filled mansion. You could select from two characters, although unlike RE, it didn't matter who you chose.

For some reason, my PC copy did not have sound in the gameplay. But it had a soundtrack, because by playing it as just a CD, it had music on it. This is something I never figured out properly.

I did not play much of the one on PS2 as it seemed hard...
