Hey Guys, a LOT of the NONE Of us can find the damn movie on this we want to cause there's a LOT of fucking pages & the search button is shit. so the idea came from Sean's recently Purchashed movies thread. & this can be our Recently Viewed Movies Thread cause half of the damn time NONE of can
find the film we want to comment on anywys, & IF we find it we can talk about it there too if we are able to find it. buut if not than we got this thread. i'll start I just watched "Grindhouse" (2007) last night the theatrical version my brother made me a copy he has of it with the fake trailers included!
& i gotta say i LOVED IT! has anyone seen this version? & what did they think of it? i'm just to lazy to search through 98 pages here. hehe

Great idea!
Yeah, I loved grindhouse but the 2-disc versions apparently don't have the fake trailers and the japanese 6-disc set is just too damn expensive. This [these] film[s] actually inspired me to start collection DVDs.

well my brother got a copy of the Theatrical version i have no fucking idea where got it man. nor do i really care. & that's the version i saw. one complaint is simply this, Death Proof takes place before 'Planet Terror" why make a switch in films? also in the fake trailer by "Eli Roth" Thanxsgiving" one wonders why they have done horror films that have dealt with "Mother's Day", halloween, X-mas, father's day i believe well "Creepshow" did a story
about it, oh i'm sure i'm missing some as well, buut nobody's done a film about "Thanxsgiving" WHY? the film did look stupid buut than it was suppose to look that way. good gore scenes though. the fake trailer did remind me of the shit that came from either that era or the 80's. how about you man?

Grindhouse kicked ass, I saw it in the movies the night it came out. Best movie of 2007. Planet Terror was one of the best zombie movies alone. I have both DVD's, I have no idea if they will ever release Grindhouse the way it was seen in theaters
Just watched: Evil Dead: The Musical - I got a bootleg of the production in Toronto. It can be pretty funny, and has some decent on stage gore. Wish I could of seen it live.
Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter Thomson - Hunter Thomson was one crazy muthafucka. Really interesting look at his work and life.
Arcade - What can I say? I just got it. Movie is a lot of fun.

i was laughing as well. i thought to myself what a stupid fucking film but than i thought this does seem to sound like a film that would have been made during the 70's & i realized that's what they were going for. as for 'Grindhouse' it's sad man that people in the US didn't get it. they fucking went out & told EVERYBODY well the press i mean that they had fake trailers & why they are in it but yet NOBDOY got it. soo it flopped. i guess it was ahead of it's time man.
i also think that's why they released them seperate man cuz frankly nobody got it soo they wanted it to sell well on dvd. they were SUPPOSE to re-release the films seperatly into theatres last Septemeber or so at least one of them i think? cuz QT. said that's the plan buut i guess they NEVER did & said fuck it &
just put it on dvd instead. unless they did release them buut we just didn't get it around here though. i do agree with someone on IMDB though they said that "Death Proof" had too much dialog. well it did & it was a bit slow at 1st. buut my guess that was how he wanted it. my guess old films from the 70's were like that as well? i dunno i still have yet to see any of the films they talked about in the film. & ayuh Hunter Thompson was one weird motherfucker to.
it's still odd that the guy thought of the show 'Nash Bridges"! i think he even wrote the Pilot! & really 'The evil dead" musical was good? i think these dumass's who make a film a musical should just leave it as fucking film ya know? 'Mamma Mia" which i have seen wasn't that great. the play may be good or so i'm told. buut the movie sure as hell wasn't. & i still have yet to see "Arcade" as well

Evil Dead The Musical was a play, not a film. It was like a complete homage to Evil Dead. I actually find horror musicals to be fun sometimes, although I know a LOT of people hate musicals.
They also turned the Toxic Avenger into a musical!

Never saw GRINDHOUSE version, but own both on seperate DVDs. think PLANET TERROR was better
Just wacthed THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN and GOING STEADY, based on the "Lemon Popcicle" series from Israel (but VIRGIN is the US remake). The comedy with the depressing ending. GS has a great soundtrack though.

i know evil dead is just a musical, i just meant that it seems that everything that is a classic or not so much a classic is becoming a musical. here's an example 'sister act' i read the other night that Whoppi Goldberg is wanting to turn that into a musical. it's a great film granted & i can see that being a musical buut why mess with shit that's better left alone? ya know? my point is NOT everything has to be a musical. greedy bastards. i mean hell they even had "Carrie" as a musical at one point buut it understandly flopped! as did the musical for 'The Lord of the rings" 2 GREAT Films & i know they made 3 of them buut i am just referring to the whole series. soo 2 films that just did NOT
NEED to be musicals. i love musicals & yes straight guys can like them 2. & as for "Death Proof" i didn't say i didn't like the film. i just said that i think this one had to much dialog. I know it's a "Tarintino" film but this time around it wasn't needed. he should have cut a bit back on it a little. i didn't say i didn't like it. i loved it. buut i also enjoyed "Planet of terror" better cause it had more action plus i love zombie flixs. & we go from a film like "Planet Terror" which starts out a tad slow granted buut no complaints here any movie is like that. buut once it starts it never stops. which is a good thing. one scene that took me by surprise is that scene where the kid accidently kills himself. i wasn't expecting them to do that. i know that was the intention & all. but these days NOT everyone has the balls to do a scene like that. & is it just me or does "Josh Brolin" look older than he actually is? anywys,
i did read an interview that "Kurt Russell' had a ball making 'Death Proof" & i can understand why he did. he was damn good in it. he doesn't normally play the vililan. it's a RARITY when he does. & he was good in it. & very convincing. & having those chicks chase his ass & seeing him go from a guy who kills to a guy who begs for mercy was perfectly done. anywys
as for movies i watched last nite. "The Stuff" (1985) an old "Larry Choen" fave. or however ya spell his name? they should do a sequel to it & have the remaing cast in it. i say remaining cuz of the characters that got killed in it. & it could be about them finding out 'the stuff' is the BIG drug & them stopping it. who's with me?

Kill Bill, my brother hooked me up with the COMPLETE film. 4 hrs. long guys. it took fucking forver for it to end. buut the time went quick & i didn't realize it was 4 hrs. until the end of the flim to be honest. & i said HOLY FUCKING SHIT! well counting credits of course! hehe
great film. which i had originally didn't care for the 1st volume. not that i thought it was a bad film. just cause i hadn't seen vol. 2 yet. & i held my opinion of it until i saw the entire fucking film. & after 5 yrs. of wanting to see the entire film i can FINALLY give an opinion about it! ya know?

are you talking about Lucy Liu's fight scene with Uma Thurman? that was in color when it was in the theatres. they did have a scene in black & white & that's when it went back in time to the wedding rehershal or however the hell ya spell that? they don't actually so the massacre which fucking SUCKS! buut
but part of the end credits are in black & white. none of the fights are in black & white though. & the black & white scenes are if they show parts of the past. other than that it's standard picture with the exception of one part of the film that i can think of that's animated. well the story of "Cottenmouth" lucy liu's character. & i think a couple scenes are? correct me if i'm wrong guys. buut bear with me i just came home from work soo my mind is a bit fuzzy.

Trust me, that scene has always been in black and white.
